I keep hearing this song on the radio. It has knight rider backbeats and talks about a girl wanting to drive a fast car (a euphemism for playing 2D fighter video games obviously). The title is a recurring line in said song.

I am looking for the artist/title. Can anybody name the song?

I'm not sure, but the singer you're looking for is probably Tracy Chapman and the song is called "Fast Car". Chapman was also behind "Baby Can I Hold You Tonight" and "She's Got Her Ticket" if they ring a bell.
