Here is a set of images that show off the two new jobs in Final Fantasy V Advance, gladiator and cannoneer.

The gladiator will be an expert with a sword, having a skill that attacks all enemies in a turn and one that hits the enemies in the back rank for the same damage as front rank enemies.

The cannoneer obviously has a cannon as his main weapon. One of his skills allows him to combine ammo and other items and another uses up the ammo to damage the enemies. Final Fantasy V Advance is scheduled to be released November 6th for the Gameboy Advance.

Cannoneer sounds really neat:D And it's like a cousin to pirate!

Just two new classes and one new dungeon? At this rate the only new content in FFVI Advance will be a new weapon for Stragus.

Cannoneer isn't such a bad idea. I can finally give Faris a job that makes her look like a pirate. :) It's sort of odd how they'll be carrying around a cannon though.

Gladiator on the other hand is too closely related to the Samurai job class.

Wait, did I see face portraits when they are speaking on one of the screens?! Cool! Would the main characters also have faces shown when they speak? Because of all those jobs, you know.

Anyway, new jobs = always nice. But I heard Dark Knight would be in thise one, too, is this confirmed?

In FFV, the party's current jobs aren't reflected outside of battle, so I wouldn't expect them to be reflected in dialogue portraits, either.

Old news.

This irratates me to no end. Instead of saying old news, why not make a thread five years ago when you heard about this while the idea was still even in pre-misconseption.

I personally can't imagine a cannoneer in this game, but its funny either way.

PIRATE CANNONEER RED MAGE!!!

Now that would be an interesting class combination for Faris. :D The new classes look pretty good, but I'm not overly impressed by those pictures. Could be their small size too, but they don't really look better than the graphics in the SNES version.

PIRATE RED MAGE!!!

About as close as we can ever hope to be. Unless Square add the Pirate class into Final Fantasy 11.

I'm with 'Kishi on this one...Square needs to add a few more perks to bolster the original. Otherwise...hell, I have the PSX version, why should I get this?

At this rate the only new content in FFVI Advance will be a new weapon for Stragus.

I would be perfectly fine with that. new dungeons are just pointless gimmicks in my opinion. improved graphics and new translations are good enough for me.

The only graphics that are being improved are the battle backgrounds.

Agreed...Square Enix really needs to buck up on these things. Personally, I'd like to see more Summons (And improved graphics on them...we have the technology), hell, more attacks, and a few more jobs yet. At least.

im fine with the current state of it.

itd be tricky adding in more attacks, what do ya want? more damaging ones?

I hope not....

causes major imbalances.

*wants more job classes... oh, and sexier skill and magic animations*

More songs, making the Bard class a bit more useful, same with dancer...not necessarily more damaging attacks, but a new batch of attacks, or abilities would be fun. Just my opinion...just....let's face it...if they're gonna remake the game, make it worth it.

Apparently (http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=6761) there are two other new classes we haven't seen yet: Prophet and Necromancer. So that's good.

D'you REALLY wanna know where he hides it? He's called Butz for a reason (Albeit, likely not in this version before I get flamed.)

So true. Its much like the the much deliverated question where do the other characters in your party go after battles. My friends and I all agree that they are in the main characters pants which hold an almighty vortex for storage.

Exactly what I was thinking.

No one cares that you saw the new jobs before anyone else.

Anyway, I hope these new jobs have been thought through - I want to see that they have their own fighting style unique to any of the previous jobs.

You are prolly onto something there, for I keep my cannon in my pants.

At least it will look good when you splatter the head of your opponent with your new gladiator abilities
