What do you think of The Mask? I love it!:D I've got to say out of all the movies that Jim Carrey has made...The Mask is by far my favorite Jim Carrey movie! I like the way a lot of the character animation in The Mask mirrors the character animation in the Tex Avery cartoons that's pretty cool.:D

It was alright, but it was honestly my least favorite Jim Carrey movie.

Ace Ventura and The Truman Show are so much better.

I think it made me sick originally and I still dont know if I like it. Roger Rabbit and stuff like that was where it was all at. The mask 2 is like probabally terrible but Ive never seen it.

I was talking about the first one specifically but the second one wasn't bad for a sequel.

The Mask was awesome, now I've grown kinda tired of it though.

The best Jim Carey by far is Animal Detective...the one where he goes to that Indian tribe. So many classic lines.

"Allow me to show affection" - spags on all
*Indicates to his leg with spear* "EHHHHHHHH.........EHHHHHHHH"

His 2nd best is Liar liar for sure.

"I CANT LIE!"
"The colour of the pen is blue..."

As for the mask, it was ok. Sequel was indeed crap, almost as bad as spider man 2.

When I was a kid I didn't know much about The Mask I thought it was an original movie. And in a way it was but...it was actually loosely based on the first half of a blood and gore comic book series by Dark Horse called The Mask. New Line Cinema was originally going to make The Mask a horror film but when Jim Carrey got the lead role they decided to butcher the source material since Jim Carrey in a horror movie probaby wouldn't work.

Great movie. Horrible sequel.
Exactly, and I can't stand that dude Jamie Kennedy. He's not funny. I saw a couple episodes from The Mask cartoon series and you're right it sucked badly. I don't know why it's so hard for Hollywood to leave originals alone.

By the way...Is it me or has Cameron Diaz's beauty diminished since the completion of The Mask?

I love 'The Mask'. One of my favorite movies, but thats probably cause I'm a cartoon kind of guy :jess:
The second one looked like crap though and I have no intention of watching the thing.

I like The Mask, but I watched Son of the Mask out of sheer boredom one day. That was so horrible!

I like it a lot and Jim Carey is just pure genius. At one point me and my dad could watch it over and over again, and still laugh so hard. It's been years since I've seen it, though.

The Truman Show is Jim's best piece of work, I like The Mask but the dog palava near the end was daft...

That movie was classic, much like all his older movies like Truman Show, and Liar Liar.

Totally. That's the only movie I've ever seen her in where I thought she was just drop-dead gorgeous.

You know now that I think about it there is one original movie out there that hasn't had a sequel yet...And that movie is called Who Framed Roger Rabbit so far Hollywood has left that movie alone.

By the way does anybody know whether the soundtrack to The Mask is good or not? I was thinking about buying it a while back but I had second thoughts I mean what if I bought the soundtrack and it sucked?
