Simple question, what book are you reading?

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is what I'm reading.

How To Deal With Annoying People. It's effective, but annoyingly Christian. Ironic.

Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. I have to read it for my Honors English class to fill out this independent reading packet... Thankfully I already read it last summer so I could just finish it in one night and say that I read it :)

Just finished Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and The Singularity Is Near by Ray Kurzweil. Now I'm going to read either The Physics Of Superheroes (James Kakalios) or Collapse (Jared Diamond).

Currently reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I've recently finished Slaughterhouse Five, Catcher in the Rye, The Godfather, Catch 22, and Animal Farm. I've enjoyed all of them immensely except for Tom Sawyer.

Im re-reading the lord of the rings trilogy. In my opinion, it is so much better than the film. So much was left out in the film. I love those books.

EDIT: Still plowing through The Stand, it's some heavy reading.

You think so?? ...In any case it's justified, this time. I started this same thread the day before this one, and it was closed. I was referred to another thread, yet this one survives. Bitching aside:

I'm reading "A Scanner Darkly." I haven't seen the movie yet, and I've read quite a few of Phil Dick's stories. I'll probably read
"Slaughterhouse Five" after I finish "Cat's Cradle"- both by Vonnegut.

I have a lot of books I want to re-read including: the Dune novels; Rice's Vampire Chronicles; LOTR...so many words, so little time...
