No, he didnt die, he's in the end credits, plus square isn't that stupid to kill off such a populare charicter. And ya, Cloud should have kicked OMEGA's as*. That part ticked me off a bit, but hey, it's Vincent's game.

if your from the u.s the game came out two days ago. if thats the case you need to take a couple breaks, starving to play a game is a bit excessive

Wasn't a very long game.

I love Vincent as a character, so I'm glad he got his own game.

None of the main characters (aside from the Tsviets) die. Has anyone gotten all the G files and seen the special G ending? I haven't managed that yet, so I'm not sure if Weiss actually survives or if he is dead.

He can die. Kill Reeve and you won't see Cait Sith move again. :p

my only problem is that the ending is the only time you get to see red 13 (AKA Nanakii).

I was getting worried that they killed off Vincent, and I would have been REALLY upset. :hot: :frust:
...But they didn't!!! :jess:

It would have been so stupid if Cloud killed Omega. He was barely in the game at all, and it would have been pointless for such a minor character to defeat the final boss. The WHOLE game was about Vincent and his past, so obviously Vincent had to defeat Omega. End of story.

And even, Cloud already had his time in the spotlight with FFVII and Advent Children. So if Square gave him a big role in Dirge Of Cerberus, I would have been pissed cuz it's Vincents game. I also think that I enjoyed having Vincent as the main character more than Cloud. Cloud is cool and all, but in FFVII he was BORING. :kaosleep: He had absolutely NO emotion at all. [not that any of the FFVII characters did either...:rolleyes2] Vincent was REALLY interesting and mysterious. This game was AWESOME!!! :kaohappy2 :thumb:

I agree. I thought it was way too easy and kinda short. But I still REALLY liked it!!! :jess: :thumb:

LOL probably.

I kinda feel bad that Cait Sith appeared so much more than Red XIII. :(

Beat it, didn't bother with "secret" ending, i'll just download it off the net eventually, can't be bothered to play it again or reload missions or whatever. How was it? Well, the normal ending wasn't bad, but way too short, as was the game itself.

yeah, i checked on Youtube and they had it, usually the secret endings aren't anything at all, same with Kindgom Hearts 2
they hardly showed anything of interest :-\

And i think the reason the game was short is either 1) it was short to begin with or 2) it's hard to take your time when you constently have people blowing your brains out

Good game overall, I just wish it was more of an expansive world....you know, with an overworld map and little towns to visit and chat in and places to take rests and play minigames and whatnot...as it is, the game just shoves you through one bland level straight to the next, and there's no sense of exploration. What made it bearable for me was the story and the characters. Shelke is just too cute! :3

What ?, the secret ending is proposing a FFVII-2 and you say is nothing at all ?

It might not mean a FF7-2, but another spin-off (propably Yuffie). That would be awesome if they did a competent FF7-2 though.

Well it kinda left you hanging, but it's not anything that you could'nt download, why bother getting the G reports?
And besides (not saying that it will be) but if they do make another, who can say it won't become a flop. Then it'll just be another thing that people can bash. :rolleyes2

Actually, I would have gotten very upset if that were the case.

I had this sort of longing fear throughout the game that Cloud was just going to steal the spotlight. I was pleasantly surprised that he remained a minor character like all the others, minus Reeve and Yuffie.

Off topic, but the one character who was under-utilized was Red XIII. I am well aware that there are problems animating him because all of his fur, but come on. One scene in the ending sequence that makes him seem like a pet. One line and a minimal part in Advent Children, and now a miniscule part in Dirge of Cerberus and no speech. 'Tis a shame, really.

Why are so many of you questioning the length of the game? It's a shooter. 10 hours (on my first playthrough) is a pretty long shooter actually. It's not an RPG. You can't expect 40 hours of shooting people. That would get boring. Actually, some of the cut-scenes are annoyingly long, so actual game play was probably closer to 7 or 8 hours. And that's how long normal shooters are including cutscenes and whatnot.

Plus, this is Square's first shooter game. You can't expect it to be nearly as major of an accomplishment as VII was. Some of you seem to be expecting massive gameplay time, more expansive environments, overworlds, huge sidequests, etc. This is neither seen nor expected in even some of the best shooters such as Resident Evil (4 was my favorite), so why should we expect it from a company who has never produced shooters before? Just doesn't make much sense to me.

the ending would have been better if cloud killed omega weapon
WTF?! Are you s***ing me?! That would have totally ruined the ending! Did you understand nothing about the connection between Omega and Chaos? Did you skip every cutscene or something? Not only would it have ruined Vincent's game, but it would be physically impossible. Only Vincent could have even had a chance at defeating Omega because his body housed the Chaos gene.

i have a question?WHY WAS THE FINAL BOSS SO FRICKIN EASY!!!i killed all final 3 bosses in 15mins without dying azul was more of a challenenge than omega youd think they'd make it a challenege oh well stop complaining reeno you beat it be happy and i thought he was dead at first too ;.; i was like wtf?VINCENT NOOOO YOU CANT DIE *sob*

Well, the ending was a little short to me. I wished that it would have been like previous FF games where we dwell in the mystical power of cutscences and enjoy the fruits of our "labor".

Anyway, I did like the fact that they changed Shelke's clothes. She looks cute in a skirt and tank top. Haha, but seriously, the end was way short for me and I would have liked more.

though the game itself was fairly short, it was long enough to tell the story that it was telling, and that's that. the characters were all ones we loved, and the new enemies were ruthless and pretty much the biggest hard-asses the series has seen (besides shelke). the graphics are awesome, and the fact that vincent was made into a much more epic character than he is in the first game really made the game and concepts a lot broader and interesting. hands down, probably one of the best games ive picked up in a while.
