spirit and vitality

so im wondering...what does spirit and vitality do for you?

is vitality something like stamina?

i'm playing final fantasy 8 right now, and im startin to really not care about spr because i see it as one of those not so important thing you need.

Is this going across all Final Fantasy's, or just FF8?

In any case, in almost all situations, Vitality is involved in reducing physical damage against you, while Spirit is involved in reducing magical damage against you.

yeah and sometimes Vit boosts your hp the more you have.

in FFVIII spirt becomes very important, do not ignore it! also in that game, maxing both spirit and vitality and having auto-shell, auto-protect makes that character amazingly hard to kill.

lol, i never payed attention to spirit that much. i always though spirit would be something like the characters mind thinking "i'm not gonna lose, im not going to die yet" having spirit or something. which really does nothing in battle. so yea.
