What is the use of dark matter in this game, you obviously cant get 99 and you dont customise weapons or anythin? is it just to be used as,say, a grenade?

60 Dark Matter can add "Break Damage Limit" to a weapon. 99 Dark Matter can add "Ribbon" to a piece of armour. Useful if you have a lot but since this will only happen once or twice throughout the game it really won't come into play that often.

Er, I don't remember that you can add Break Damage Limit or Ribbon to a weapon or piece of armor. I think you meant in FF X, but Helios asked about FF X-2:)

Helios, yes, Dark Matter can mostly been used as a one-time weapon to deal non-elemental damage or I imagine your Alchemist could put it to good use in a mix (can't tell you what it could do though since I haven't used Mix all that much :s)

It's very rare: you can only get it in Via Infinito. Both Trema and Paragon may leave Dark Matter after battle (you can also bribe Paragon to get some, if I'm mot mistaking....)

Ive been looking for dark matter... and i havent got lady luck i can't get it i can not play sphere break!

Don't worry, you won't miss it too much, LOL Unlike in FF X where you could customize weapons with it, here its only use is in battle, and you have other ways to do just as much damages available

Ive got lady luck and one time I got dark matter, Ithink I got machina maw thing 3 times or 3 7's on the random reels.

I think you bribr the thingy paragon before fighting Trema and he gives you 26 Dark Matter.

Actually, it's random: one time he gave me 7 Dark Matters, but another it gave me 43.
