Crusader of fun!

Well, I was just about to do the summer event on my mule to get my Yukata, during the last few minutes. First I D/C, then I get killed by an Orc, then, the last time, we finally get it, but the moogle despawned right when we got there. I felt totally crappy. But, then I got a totally awesome idea. Give out the fireworks I had stored on there, to just have a bunch of fun. I gave out random /shouts, and hoped to inspire people to sometimes, be silly and have some plain old fun.

Have you ever had an experience like this in-game, where you just said hello to some random person, or gave someone a gift for no reason at all?

No, I don't recall doing anything like that.

I guess I'm a little too focused to enjoy the little things like that anymore; essentially, the game is praised for those types of things and I suppose that — maybe, a few years ago — something like that would have happened to me. If I do see something like it, it brings a smirk to my face, at the very least.

I had been really down about the game, and I took a couple of months off to go travel and work. Even when I got back recently, I had been so bummed about the game. So I just thought, being the silly taru that I am, I'd run around Windurst doing stupid things.

Anyways, I ended up buying fireworks off a newbie for a high price and doing the summer event with her (found out her mum is actually Bettysan). It wasn't anything serious, I was really just mucking around pretending to be a newbie with her. XD Fun times.

I have been the victim of free handouts on several occasions and it really has inspired me to do the same for other noobie players. On a 99.9 percent baisis if you help a noob out by giving them a good starting armor/weapon/ and maybe even invite them to you LS, chances are you will have made a friend for the rest of the game.

The ONLY thing I don't like concerning free handouts is just because I am a mentor I have loads of gil. NO I WILL NEVER HAND OUT FREE GIL JUST CAUSE I AM A MENTOR :twak: GIL BEGGZOR :tonberry:

Our Linkshell sets up silly events all the time, like Swimsuit competions, naked runs and the like.

Personally I like to go to Sauromungue Champain as a naked Lv1 Thief and pick fights with Waraxe Beaks then /shout "HELP ME PLZ <pos>".

I got lucky when I first started out, got into my linkshell (getsoutthehammer) and well they have all gave me stuff to help, from subjob items to scrolls, never gil though lol. So I have done the same, I am now level 21 rdm 10 whm, <<< always keep the subjob leveled lol.
Some of the old gear I have I passed it down to help others out.
But the best thing I have got from my linkshell is advice, when I wanted to go to Jeuno for the first time I had 2 level 75 BLM's come and guide me so I made it in one peice. Now i'm in Dangruff Wadi just getting some Gausebit Grass so I can get my chocobo, yeah I could of bought it from AH but they all advised me to get it my self so I did, died once there but they came to raise me and stayed untill I was full of gausebit grass, (thought i'd make abit of gill by selling it on the AH). Thats another thing lol I have dies so many times and there has always been someone willing to come and raise me, sometimes my full party lol.

A lot of times me and Misfit would run around sending random /tells to people demanding to know why they haven't sent any child support for our poor little baby. :p

I've actually made a few friends via random /tells.

I think one of the best parts about this game is being goofy and fun with other players. It's something you can't do in any other Final Fantasy game. And it's always a nice surprise to find other players who are just as goofy. As opposed to the players who get all offended and tell you to go away and leave them alone. When you find people who are willing to play along and have fun... well, that's just super. :)

I agree. I think there's way too many people in the game who are taking it way too seriously. They can't even joke or mess around with other players, all they want is to level and get gear. It's really sad to be honest, even some friends have started to walk that path. =\

Where to start...

Once i was in Valkurm and was bored. I decided to do a /random. I think i got 586 or something. After I did that about 5 other ppl did the same. within 5 mins we prolly had 15 ppl doing /random to see who could get the highest. that was fun.

The goofy thing... I was bored and since my LS didnt break but was dead anyway I would make another so I /tell a friend and said hey what should we name it? It was 5 am and he was dead. I lookied down at my hand and saw my pop can was A&WRootBeer so that is the name of my LS :p i get into a pt and say first off "anyone want a LS?" everyone says no but after 5 mins of examins at least 1 person always says "OMG I WANT ONE I FREAKING LOVE THE NAME!!!" theis LS is still small and growing but if anyone of u is on CERBERUS /tell me and ul get 1.:D

this just happened on Aug 23, or yesterday (since i am writing this on the 24 :D ) ne way A girl was using tons and tons of Datechochin fireworks by the Ah and I just happened to be standing there.

I gave her a /slap for lagging the place up.. well she gave me a /slap back

Then i said /emote challanges Destinychild to a duel.
