Party Strategy

[The Black Fan]

Everyone has a different team, so different strategies.
Say your party and strategy here.

Mine is:
Zidane- Steal and Thievery(since Thievery isn't affected by Mini)
Amarant-Chakra and No Mercy
Dagger- Status healing, Ark and Atomos(deals 9999 to many enemies with boost effect)
Steiner-Shock, Climhazzard and Darkside(Auto-Regen and Auto-Haste)

The one I usually use is
Zidane - attacking, Dyne skills when Tranced
Steiner - attack, Climhazzard, Shock -OR- Freya - attack, Dragon Crest
Dagger - healing, using Eidolons
Vivi - using attack spells, later doing major damage and healing the party with Doomsday.

In all FF's I try to vary my party as much as possible, using different combinations each time. As long as I haven't tried every possible combination I can't be sure of which my favourite is :p

I usuallly alternate my party after the current one has at least leveled up twice.

Well my usual party is this:
Zidane: Because I have to apart from in Memoria
Garnet: Summoning and Healing
Steiner:Climhazzard!!!! Minus strike is also good if he only has like a few HP left.
Freya: Jump!!!! Also for Dragon's crest and Reis's wind to help Garnet with the healing.

In Memoria I use Vivi instead of Zidane.

Steiner - Climhazzard and Lai Strike
Eiko - White Magic + Eidolons
Freya - Dragon's Crest
Quina - Blu Magic. 'Nuff said.

Zidane is one of the most useless characters, almost more so than Vivi.

Zidane: Steal, Dyne, attacking
Vivi: Black Magic
Freya: Jump, Dragoon skills
Steiner: attacking

Zidane - Steal is very useful, so does Flee and he is also balanced. Dyne pwned your ass!
Vivi - Black Magic: Flare, Doomsday, Death, Osmose and Meteor pwned! I even equipped all Shadow-absorbing armor/accessories to my party so that Vivi becomes a healing machine with Doomsday. Double effect for Double Black Magic.
Eiko - White Magic: Curaga, Full-Life, Haste, Holy and Reflect, Summon: Carbuncle and Phoenix. Another healing machine! Perfect safe-play. Plus, I reflected Vivi with Reflect to trigger double damage. I even use Eiko when I have Auto-Regen equipped. SAFE-PLAY.
Steiner - Shock, Climhazzard and Darkside. And he can attack with Vivi! Fire! FIRE! FIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!

As hideously corny and cheap that joke was, it still made me laugh. *applauds*

Zidane- Attacks or Death Sentences. Steals when necessary.
Vivi- Bounces Flare off of himself for supreme damage.
Quina- Supports the team with buffs and Auto-Life. When in doubt, use Limit Globe...
Eiko- Nukes the opposition with Holy.

The Meh characters:

Garnet: Meh, Eiko has Holy. You lose. Too bad your summons aren't all that grand...but at least she has that 'Auto-Summon' for her Trance.
Freya: Sometimes take out Quina for her. Reis' wind is great, and I like her Trance.
Steiner: I never use him in the main game, and he's never leveled up enough. (I'm pretty lazy with power leveling most of the time). I hear he's pretty great though.

[The Hubsta]

My two teams:
1.
Zidane: Attack. I never steal.
Vivi: Relevant elemental magic/meteor.
Garnet: Odin/Cura or Curaga.
Steiner: Attack/Sword Magic.

2.
Zidane: Attack.
Freya: Jump/Attack.
Amarant: Attack.
Eiko: Madeen.

Possibly the most strategic team ever :lol:
