This is probably one of the funniest series ever. Anime and Manga are both equally hilarous. Mabey the manga more so. Osaka is the best character ever. I just know I'll probably end up being a teacher just like Yukari. What does everyone else think of this?

It's a great series, FINALLY picked up the last manga (I got the entire box set for $45, which kinda started me on the craze). A very quirky series with a lot of loveable characters and genuinely funny but not really overdone.

We're always telling a friend of mine who's kind of vacant and wants to move to Japan and teach English (her family is very involved with other Japanese families and her Japanese is quite good) that she is Osaka, and that she will eventually grow up to be Yukari-sensei.

It's very strange, and quite entertaining. I love how they take a lot of simple motifs (like Sakaki and the cats) and run them throughout the series in varied fashion.

I and my close circle of real life friends tend to be pretty lazy when it comes to things we don't have to do, but now and then we would gang up on one of us and chant 'GET MOTIVATED!' depending on the sitation.

Osaka is amazing. I don't own the series, but I borrowed it from my friend and watched it twice in a week, in both English and Japanese. Laughed just as hard both times.

Kagura is terribly underrated. I <3 her.

I love Azumanga, it's one of my favourite anime and manga (despite the lousy translation in a lot of the first volume of the manga) - the ending is nicely moving, and it manages to make even someone like me who hated school slightly nostalgic for it.

Yomi and Osaka = favourite characters, but in truth they're all uniformly very good, one reason why I like it so much
