View Full Version : Does frequent bumping into Ultima Weapon shorten his flight around the world map?

It seems to me as if Ultima Weapon instantly stops his tedious flight, if you bump into him all the time.
I mean, I've tried following him the usual way, and that usually takes HOURS.
Then I tried flying into him all the time; and suddenly, he stopped MUCH sooner. :)
It always worked, and therefore I wonder if there possibly could be some "connection", or was it just a weird coincidence? :D

Yeah that's right.
if you fly all the time into Ultima Weapon, it stops sooner than usual.

I think if you bump into him about fours times, he'll make a beeline for one of his favorite hover spots.

Interesting fact, if you drop Ultima Weapon's HP to 0 before you head to Cosmo Canyon, then he'll have 20000HP. If however you don't leave him with 0 HP, he'll have whatever you last left him with. In this sense it can be advantageous not to beat up on him so badly before the Cosmo Canyon fight.

Hm. I didnt know it made a difference. I always rammed into him just because it gave me something to do, and he STILL took forever.

He won't stop unless you fly into him(in my case that is).All I did was track him down and ram into him while hearing loads of cursing from captain Cid.
