An amnesiac martial artist with multiple personalities, who is actually the latest reincarnation of a guy who's been caught up in a cycle of tragedy and loss since the beginning of human civilization on the planet, is paired up by fate with a giant kung-fu robot. Meanwhile, the shadow government of a floating country that manipulates the politics of the surface world while keeping its own presence a secret moves to revive an ancient sentient planet-killing bio-weapon. Hilarity and endless superficial religious symbolism ensue.

I never thought someone could sum up Xenogears incredibly complex and indepth storyline in a single paragraph, but good golly Kawaii accomplished it.

Anyways, Xenogears is a rpg game not at all similar to Final Fantasy. Your characters can fight in person or in big Gears which are giant robots that usually imitate their riders attacks and abilities. Fighting system is based on combos you can do with limited amounts of selections, which increases as the game goes on.

Great battle system, awesome storyline, and a solid score of music make this one of the best PSX games ever made :)

Anyone who ranks Pokemon above Xenogears needs to be killed.

Xenogears is one of the best RPGs ever made. Superb storyline, great characters, wonderful battle system and frickin' Mitsuda being the composer.

And no offense to the FF freaks, but Xenogears is a bit higher up on the plateau of RPG classics than FFX-2 or Mystic Quest....
