How in every final fantasy game cid is in he makes or pilots an airship? Even in the online masterpiece FFXI Cid has made an airship for the adventurers to use.

Yes, I've noticed this. Well, actually, it's not the case in every FF. In FFVI, he was working in the Magitek Factory or something, I don't think he had anything to do with airships (Setzer was the airship guy there). In FFVIII, Cid was the headmaster of Balamb Garden.

also in the original FF1, Cid was not mentioned at all.

in the DoS remake, square included him by having the lufenians speak of a man from the past who invented airships called Cid.

Yeah, I knew about the reoccurances of Cid.

Do you know the reoccurances of Biggs and Wedge?

Yep, but they're not as important Cid.

In FF8 headmaster cid was the one who told squall how to make the garden fly. So I think we should give him some credit there.

What about in FFIX. He gives them airships to use but when did he make them?

Yes I have noticed that. It's a nice little tradition in my opinion :)

He designed and built all three HildeGuardes (sp?).

Ah, I see. Haven't played awhile but still never knew that. What disc does he tell you this? I'm on disc 2.

I remember in FFIX when you have dinner w/ Regent Cid (I think after the tournament) if you inspect the walls, he has weapons that were used by different Cid's (ex: Cid V, Cid VIII). I remember thinking it meant the games were connected, but the numbers/weapons didn't match up. 9 basically does that the entire game to you.

Cid in FFVI wasn't a pilot, but he was a skilled engineer, I recall. If you consider Balamb Garden in FFVIII an airship, then Cid Kramer could fit into that as well. Cid in FFT and TA weren't engineers at all, but they had important military status at least.

But yeah, keep the Cids comin'.

Yeah, Cid wasn't introduced into the Final Fantasy series until FFII was released. So basically he's been in each one reoccuring since the original FFII was released. It's pretty cool because this is also the game where Chocobos make their debut as well.

Cid...Chocobo's...got love the encores.

I honestly don't remember when you find this out but I remember that he named them after his "loving" wife.

It's high-time for Cid to be a playable character again!
