So I made a sammich five minutes ago but I didn't have any sub-sauce so I used Italian salad dressing. It tasted delicious.

I also use spaghetti sauce mixed with a little bit of water and sugar when I am out of ketchup, and orange juice instead of milk on my cereal if there happens to be no milk in the fridge.

What foods/condiments do you substitute when you've run out?

I will kick and scream until I get my way.:greenie: I DO NOT SETTLE!

I do use these forums as a substitute for life though. Works well!

Barbecue sauce replacement = steak sauce, hot sauce, and a hint of lime.

That's the only condiment I ever really use because most of them disgust me.

If there isn't any Ketchup... Plum sauce is the next best thing. ;)

I don't usually have the need to substitute. I don't like condiments all that much anyways. Although, I have substituted Coca-Cola for milk in my cereal because I didn't have anything else, and water sounded icky. I warn you now, cola and Froot Loops do NOT mix.

I once substituted Marmite (on cheese on toast) with a Chinese 5 Spice thing that you're actually supposed to put in whilst cooking a stir-fry. It was horrible. The dog liked it though.
