But you're still hungry...

If you had the ability to get a full night's sleep in a couple of seconds, would you actually want to? I like taking naps and waking up angry too much to want to pass that up. <3

Nah. Staying up for nearly 24 hours would get boring fast.

Jojee
08-31-2006, 06:24 AM
Yeah, I'd like that ^_^ Not all the time, but if I had the ability to, that would be pretty spiffy ;] *procrastinates even more on school stuff*

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

It'd be useful every once in a while.

Yeah, I'd use it. Not all the time mind you, but if I wanted to work a long shift and still go out and party, or go out and party even though I have work early in the morning. It'd rock.

Azure Chrysanthemum

I'd definitely make use of it. All the time? Not sure. But it could certainly help things.

Probably everyday if i could, i feel much better when im not tired

I would smurfing abuse that technique. I hardly sleep at any rate anyways, but to be able to get a full nights sleep instantly, and on command, would be wondrous.

Addditionally, you would have a small fanfare for every time you slept.

I'd probably use that method in an emergency if I had been busy all day and couldn't get enough sleep at night. Otherwise, I prefer the traditional sleeping. :sleepy:

Like some mentioned it would be great for those nights that i have to study a lot or when i went out. But withought that little music.

Thats like living 180+ years, smurf yeah I'd use it...

Omnislash07
08-31-2006, 11:56 AM
I would definetly use it all the time, just think about all the cool stuff i could find on the internets with all that spare time

Bunny

It would be very useful for cross country road trips.

Madame Adequate

I would take this in a second, without question. Sleep is a pleasant thing, but it is also a big fat waste of my time.

Rye

Yes. I don't even wake up all refreshed after I sleep for 9 hours, so yup.

yes, now go invent the machine or pill...

Tasura
08-31-2006, 01:39 PM
Oh hell yes, I mean, that would help with the all weekenders, but they could turn into all weekers, or all monthers, or all foreverers' *joygasm*

If I had the ability to, then I would. I'm about 6months below how much sleep I should have had haha. I. Need. Sleep.

Anaisa
08-31-2006, 01:54 PM
I would, if I could sleep normally when I wanted to as well.

Breine
08-31-2006, 04:01 PM
I'd like to have that ability, although I really love to sleep. With this ability you'd be able to get much more done, and you wouldn't sleep a third of your life away.

Dell
08-31-2006, 04:12 PM
I'd take it! Even with twelve hours of sleep, I still feel unrefreshed. So, yeah!

Faris
08-31-2006, 04:23 PM
If 9 hours of sleep turned into a few seconds? I'd go for that since my sleeping hours are already messed up.

Peegee
08-31-2006, 04:31 PM
If this was a real concept companies would make you work 16 hours a day under the pretense that you would have saved that time for sleep anyway.

IE you wouldn't have any less free time than before, so it's no different!

Personally I see sleep as wholly inefficient. There are better things to spend your time doing.

Alive-Cat
08-31-2006, 04:33 PM
If you could do that, sleep wouldn't be needed. For relaxation you could just watch television or something.

Mirage
08-31-2006, 04:35 PM
I'd probably use it all the time. I never seem to get enough spare time nowadays, with 8+ hours of studying each day.

Peter_20
08-31-2006, 05:11 PM
I'd use it forever if it simulated a real full night's sleep as well. :D

Change it to a few microseconds then we'll talk. Time is money.

No, sleep is one of the best things ever.

Vincent, Thunder God
08-31-2006, 05:52 PM
It would be handy if I needed extra time to work on something, but I probably wouldn't do it all the time.

If the seconds spent felt to the uyser like a whole night, ;like dreams and everything, then sure as hell id use it.

I enjoy dreaming, I wouldnt want to give it up, however, my sleep patterns are fucked, and I can sleep for three days and still feel wasted and tired, etc, so Id NEED that ability

Quindiana Jones
08-31-2006, 06:19 PM
I'd probably get more sleep if I actually had curtains. Damn daylight....

Bart's Friend Milhouse
08-31-2006, 06:59 PM
I don't really know, what am I going to do the whole night through?

Quindiana Jones
08-31-2006, 08:05 PM
Anything you needed to be done. If it was an on/off ability then you could just sleep normally through the night if you had nothing to do.

You could do coursework/homework, or just play a game you like for ages without worrying about being totally knackered later.

I could waste so much more time posting here, I could fill every single last reply up ;)

Reles

Right now? Definitely. I don't have enough time to have any fun. I'm usually studying into the wee hours of the night, then waking up, working, going to class, sleeping very little. Then the process is repeated (well it really depends on the day). In the summertime I'd probably sleep normally, so I can dream.

Cz

It'd be nice to have the option, for the purpose of getting more done in a day. But I rather like sleeping, so I wouldn't use the ability very often.

No. You forget, Time = Money, so by working more, you make more money, and by making more money, you save time.

I would utilize that whenever I got the chance. Sleep is lame. It wastes time. I truly wish I could live by the saying "I'll sleep when I'm dead." Damn the necessity of resting! ::shakes fist::
