In all FF series, what boss have the most cool look, in your opinion? And i'm talking about ALL the bosses. Monsters, robots, humans, demons, gods, random bosses, bosses that have a meaning in the story, secret bosses, summons, etc.

But this is only about the bosses. For example, Sephiroth with his black clothes don't count, because we never fight him using it. Some summons count, because they are bosses in some games, but the summons that aren't bosses, don't count.

So, your opinions?

Yunalesca's third form was scary in FFX!

I say that Jecht/Sin from FFX was really scary. And that 'Underworld' music in the background didnt help at all

and Yunalesca's 3rd form really is scary, my cousin cried when she saw her.

the boss designs are great in FF and its hard to choose. ive always liked ultimecias final form and neo X-death is a pretty well designed boss. i could make a huge list out of all of the well designed crazy bosses. chaos is a good one.

Wins this hands down...
and you do fight Sephiroth with his black coat on when you finish the game Cloud hears that buzzing sound fights Sephiroth and Pwns him with Omnislash remember...

The worst was Yu Yevon he was a freaking octupus!

That's exactly why I like the boss designs in FFIV. I like how you can't exactly tell what Zeromus is suppose to be.

For me Ultima Weapon in FFVIII looks the best

I guess ultimecias final form. the final form is basically a faceless dead ultimecia made with ultimecias powers with the corpse hanging down below. its my theory that ultimecia is dead but unlike other sorceresses her powers fought to survive and turned into that instead of peacefully passing onto someone else or something. the final boss has the dark wings similar to adel and im sure the lack of a face symbolizes something because when adel dies her face explodes and looks very similar to the final form. i think thats what happens when sorceresses die. which backs up my theory that ultimecia is dead.

thats the great thing about a lot of FF bosses. they often seem to have some sort of point and meaning instead of just "ooh! ooh! lets give it spikes and 7 swords to make it look cool!"

Safer Sephiroth, Braska's Final Aeon, Altima (both forms), Sephiroth (the last battle), Atma Wepn (I think that's how they spelled it in FFVI), Chaos (FFI)

I just like how you can't really tell what Zeromus really looks like, besides a

"He looks like blue spaghetti."

"He looks like an evil insect-demon-devil thing."

Props go to Neo-X-Death and Necron. NED looks like an awesome surreal juxtoposition of random...things, and Necron really does look badass.

ive never found bosses like neo X-death and the parts before the main fight against kefka that interesting. they look cool but their pure randomness doesn't interest me as much a bosses like ultimecia and zeromus and necron.

A boss...similar like Wisse kind of size...too big boss is cool and scary..but unrealistic to me of course...no offence...and a final boss similar size to main character would be more fair and nice and more interesing...

Fair enough, I like Lich because he looks menacing without being a conglomorate of weirdness and strange things. I mean, he's a freaking Skeleton wearing robes! The original version looks like he's erupting out of a pile of purple flames, which I thought was awesome. No other boss, to me has given as much in terms of evil without a care for pathetic human life. This is by looks mostly, but also because I play D&D, and having read the Monster Manual entry about Liches I've developed a bit of a liking for them.

Lich looks to be the ... richest of the bosses, I guess you could say.

Oh, I forgot to add a very good boss design.
The Cloud of Darkness DS-form plainly rocks.
Very good 3D + Very nice animations + Nice Surge Cannon, yeah, an excellent looking Final Boss.

Only BAD thing about that bossy is a) Her music, not really epic and b) Her death-animation. She dies like a NORMAL boss?! WTF? It's the Final Boss! Even in the original NES-verison they had her sink away! And in DS she doesn't! There's even a victory fanfare! In which Final Fantasy had Final Bosses a plain normal, boring death animation and a victory fanfare?! They made everythign so close to the original and now this?!

Besides those freaking bad points, good looking boss. This topic is about their design, anyway.
