Which Batman score do you prefer the Danny Elfman score or the Elliot Goldenthal score? I choose the Danny Elfman score I thought the Elliot Goldenthal score sucked.

Is there really any doubt? Elfman! And he still beats out Zimmer and Shore's "Batman Begins".

I prefer Danny Elfman's score to Elliot Goldenthal's. Elfman's themes were more memorable to me. The score for Batman Begins was by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard (not Howard Shore!), and their score worked well with the movie's setting even if it wasn't as memorable as Elfman's. However, my favorite Batman score is still composed by Shirley Walker, for the animated movie Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. The soundtrack for that movie is very dark, using an orchestra and a choir in a dramatic, maybe even gothic way. I think her score worked really well with that Batman movie.

Danny Elfman is a genius. I love every score he has ever done - especially in the Burton films he has worked on

I think Danny Elfman's super hero scores are one of his highlights. I also liked his scores for the Spider-Man movies. Too bad it seems he's not writing the score for Spider-Man 3. The soundtrack for Edward Scissorhands (also composed by Danny Elfman) is beautiful too.
