I don't know. I have to check with my friends to see if they like it. Wouldn't want to be different.

Sure, if he's not depressed or anything and not complaining about his life all the time, then I'd say he must be cool.

people need to know when to decipher Emo from the Emo Stereotype.

Then you're not real. You don't exist, you can't, it's impossible.

One of my close friends, Kyono, is an emo. It's tough at times, but I value my friendship with him. Besides, if I told him to go away, he'd break down. :(

My name is...something..?

I've never met a non-depressed emo, so no.:)

I am really past caring about this whole emo fashionite crap, and look forward to the day when it stops being cool to be an emo, just like it stoped being cool to be a "sk8r" and stopped being cool to be a wannabe fred durst before that and so forth. Really, you like emo music, good for you, no one cares.

Its just a style, and a type of music, not all of them are depressed teenagers full of angst who self inflict, stop going by a stereotype - Its pathetic

There's no "I really don't care" option, so I put "Yes."

I guess it can be attributed to me being the Anti-Emo, so.....

It depends really. I know a few of my friends get classed as emo's, and it doesn't make me think of them any differently. I think that people who like, pretend to be depressed and make up stories about what terrible lives for attention are annoying though.

I can't wait until this fad dies out. Oh, Individualism oh I miss thee.

Stereotypes suck, so I don't like "emo's" I have a bitterness to anyone who decides to "express themselves" in the form of a media-inspired, constructed demographic that turns everyone into ignorant clones where they all express the same thing because it's in. I don't care if you're not imaginary depressed. Not all "emo's" are, but if you're sacrificing anything that makes you, you for something due to it being cool. Then I look down on you and frown. Goth, emo, gangsta, prep, punk, even Indie (sure you're Individuals kind of, but giving yourself a name to classify yourself makes me sick nonetheless) then I look down on you. So try to find out you're a person and not an object to be categorized. As for me, I don't wish to be bothered by this nonsense any longer.

The whole emo business and all the importance attached to a bloody stereotype is annoying. In the terms that Dan said, Jesus Christ, let the emo skulk along on his way and let's scurry on with our little lives. xD :p

Sometimes. You can't base the personality of someone by saying, "OMG, they're emo". Some are cool and some suck. That's like asking if you like Elvis Presley impersonators.

I would have voted no, but it had a sad face next to it instead of a murderous one. So I'll post this picture and be done with it.

I know a few that are pretty cool. They arent the annoying ones who get depressed over every little thing, but when something DOES upset them..........they turn into a blubbering mess, and they show their emo side. :(

so I voted no, because there was no middle option

Is there some sort of school one can attend to learn proper emo etiquette? Does it cost much?

Oh wait, I put "Untitled" from Simple Plan onto a Cd back when it was played constantly. I'm already an emo then! :excited:

I use the word Emo to mean a depressed/angsty person, with no social life. Therefore in my book, there are no non-depressed emos.

Doesn't emo stand for emotional? And by emotional they mean sad, right? But nowadays, Emo has become a style that teens mimic to be cool, so they aren't actually sad, but pretend to be sad to get attention...

I don't like people who look for attention by pretending to be sad! :mad2:

I dispise emotional males universally.

Depressed and negative people universally annoy me. Including myself when it happens (see eoeo thread).

Ergo, emo people do not mix well with me. Even their style is bizarre.
