What album is better?
Ride The Lightning or Kill 'em All? I prefer Kill 'em All. Seek & Destroy and Jump In The Fire plus No Remorse. I love those songs.

Why did you pick those two particular albums?
Anyway, I like Ride the Lightning more.

Mainly because I think those are my 2 fav. albums of metalica's. I mean, Master Of Puppets was good, but compare it to Kill 'em All or Ride The Lightning and in my eyes it pales in comparison.

While I like both, I would have to say Ride The Lightning. Although I do like James's voice on Kill 'em All alot more than any other album they ever put out.

Ride the Lightning ftw, it's totally hypnothic.
I always loved the deep sound on Ride the Lightning and The Call of Ktulu.

Ride the Lightning, of the two of them. But I have to say, I found the Black Album to be their best.

Personally, I think the Black Album is when Metallica became "Lica" (meaning, the metal is gone). And I'll admit, I used to love Metallica to death. Now, the only Metallica albums I like are the first three, Kill 'Em All being my favorite.
Now, I'm more of a Slayer fan than a Metallica fan.

That's a shame. ...and Justice for All is their greatest accomplishment.

Kill 'em All. It had more Mustaine work than Ride did.

I can't stand BLACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its sooo not metallica... (i agree with bloodline666) in that they lost the metal >.<
If AJFA was an option i would pick it purely because its the funnest to play, but since i have to choose between those, i go RTL ... it doesn't have the awsome bass solo by cliff ((Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth) BUT i love playing Call of Kutulu and fight fire with fire ... i'd love to meet someone who can keep that grind up (u can actually hear their strings grinding in that song if its loud enough) thats metallica ... and Fade is great to bust out with at partys ... (army of drunk people singing loud but quiet enough to hear the guitar) :D
GOD I WANNA PLAY MY GUITAR RIGHT NOW !

I think all Metallica songs are pretty easy compared to the stuff I used to play in my old death metal band.

I doubt that. I have heard much better guitarists than them. Much better. So much better. You ever heard of Van Halen? He makes those guitarists look like peices of mud on the floor.

van halen.....he is rockin and becker looked up to him...but still becker is way better....did you ever hear the version of hot for teacher where he asked becker to play it and becker did some crazy ass sweepin thin...

Friedman and Becker are good, but they aren't the best. And they weren't the best band ever either. Off the top of my head I can think of better guitarists, Malmsteen, Batio, Dimebag, Laiho, I can go on.

hey man if you think malmsteen and batio are better you need to get a whoopin.....batio wears a wig aswel man hahahahahahahah.....
yngwie is so boring....he did start the whole virtuoso shred thing.....but he is nowhere near becker or friedman on his compositions or technique....as i said in my previous post dime was definitly 1 of the best guitarists......but you have to undersstand becker is a completely different level...

Wait, so what a guitarist wears has anything to do with their playing?
Seriously, technique-wise, no one can compare to Malmsteen and Batio.
I even think Jani Liimatainen from Sonata Arctica can play better than Becker.

no way man... i jus think its funny that he wears a wig thats all....
and seriously...becker has better technique than yngwie and batio....yngwie plays really really fast so of course its gonna be a little bit messy but becker can play anythin perfect...if you have ever seen beckers hotlicks vid you will know what im talkin about...especially if you see him playin paginninis 5th....

Anyway, Dime, Zakk Wylde, and Kerry King are my top three favorite guitarists. I also like Alex Skolnick.

Umm, I think the old myspace is still up. I'm not on there since I left the band and it was pretty much erased that I was in it, except that I helped write like half the material and did most of the arrangements.

That reminds me...ever heard of the Zakk Wylde Drinking Game? It was allegedly invented by Corey Beaulieu and Matt Heafy, the two guitarists from Trivium (but may have been going on before that). Basically, the way that game works is, you put on a Black Label Society album, and each time you hear Zakk Wylde do a pinch harmonic, you take a drink. That means you chug down a whole can or bottle of beer, or take a shot of hard liquor. And no skipping tracks or fast-forwarding; that's cheating. I intend to play this game with a few of my friends on my dad's 50th birthday.

No, in this case Friedman and Becker are factually better guitar players than anyone else you mentioned. Technically anyways.

I could think of much better guitar player technique-wise to Malmsteen & Batio. Whoever said that.

Doyle Dykes is insane as well, but in an entirely different league. Check him out:
