In relation to the "what instrument do you play?" topic, in which band do you play? How many members, what does it sound like, any mp3's maybe?

I'll start off, I play in the Juicy Zooters, it's garage-punkrock, comparable to the older stuff of the Dwarves I think. We're with 4 guys, I play guitar and I do 2/3 of the vocals.

Now you go!

I am currently a one-man band.

No mp3s, only YouTube stuff.

As far as possible bands goes, I have one in mind, it just doesn't exist yet. I'm aware of the people that will be in it, and I'll be playing lead acoustic guitar. Also in the band will be a piano player, who is a music comp major and thus will do the majority of writing/arranging, a drummer, and an electric guitarist. We do not have a genre. All of us will do vocals as some point or another.

I was in a jazz band with some friends for awhile. We were called the Tone Deaf Six Year Olds. There's actually a story behind that name: our singer tried out for Canadian Idol one year just for fun and made it to the celebrity judges. After doing his songs for them, Zack (the mean one I guess) told him he had no talent, no hope for improvement, and that his bandmates must be a bunch of tone deaf six year olds to not notice. It's not everyday you're simply handed an awesome band name like that.

Anyway, the band consisted of guitar, bass, violin, saxophone/clarinet, vocals, and me on drums, so six of us in total. We had fun while it lasted, and we may start playing together again, but I know my schedule is too packed lately to even think about that for now.

I'm a member of a band that is currently working on going on tour: Steady Thump and The Tempophobes. Problem is, we're all in school, so our schedules are sort of full at the moment. As of now, we have two myspace sites up, one with our original music and another with some covers we've done.

Originals: http://www.myspace.com/tempophobes

Covers: http://www.myspace.com/steadythumpcovers

We're always looking for feedback, so feel free to give us a listen.

Take care all.

I am the frontman for a small, but rising outfit called Queen. We've just finished a song we're all really happy with, we call it "We Are The Champions".

I was in a band called MC Disease.

It was a industrial/dance sorta moody experimental ensemble.

It had me on lead and rythm guitar and Shannon on Drum machine and samples. later for the SxSW show we got her sister to play keyboard and her sisters boyfriend to play the bass. I only have a couple of songs we did on my comp (if i can i will post a link to it later )

We played a few shows in austin and 1 show for SxSW (South by southwest) its a big music festival here in austin.

After the SxSW show we proply broke up.

Now i am trying to do my own thing, its similar but more moody and abstract. The band name is sPo0kHoUsE and its me and my mate Dehny ... we take turns doing beats and sequencing (i use Fruity loops to squence the guitar and midi and if i do vocals, those too (or samples)) I have been told by more than not its good. But i have also had those ppl say its crap. I have a link to some stuff but its pretty old and i can't update it because my internet is "ssssssssooooooooooooo GGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" you can quote me on that ;)

I will give a link to it, don't expect too much though (because you may be let down  )

Well, just today, i was sprung the question of "Dude, lets see if you can sing on key with this song."

And i sing, and presto, im now a vocalist of a band that i dont know the name of, but has 2 guitars, 1 bass, a drummer, and keyboardist, with 3 of em i know and are good friends with.

It was also a plus that the song they had me sing was drummed into my head a year or two by my sis, playin it over and over.

And if your wondering, its "Evil" by Interpol. The band is trying to use a bit of hardcore guitar in Interpol material, so its intresting.

I was in a band in 1999 called Grasshopper. It was just a school project, though. We had to write a song about the upcoming new Millenium and we thought it would be cool if we made it into a band. The song was called "Millenium Child" and even though it touched on subjects like wife beating and heavy drinking (in junior high) we were pretty popular. Our second song was a slightly edited cover of a song about cocaine, which really sucked and nobody liked us after that. The band consisted of two vocalists, a beatboxer(?) and some guy playing a 2-stringed ukulele.

In high school I was the lead singer in a band called Mary Hamilton's Thumpers. We sucked, and most people talked about us just because of our name.
Earlier this year I was a fill-in rhythm guitarist for a band called Munga. I was out of the band when the usual guitarist's arm was healed.

I also think I was in a band with themagicroundabout and Psychotic once. We must have taken a lot of drugs because I can hardly remember it.

I also think I was in a band with themagicroundabout and Psychotic once. We must have taken a lot of drugs because I can hardly remember it.We took no drugs, but we did drink a lot of cement so maybe that was it. I believe it was called Spam Jam, but we lost in the first heat of Battle of the Bands to Asian Invasion. Meat Puppet has since left us, and the band has been renamed Steve and Janie, although I'm not allowed to make any of the actual music.

I used to be in a group called Bob Marley and the Wailers. We had a couple of decent songs out.

I used to be the rhthym guitarist for a band called "Masochist". We had a small number of songs, but I believe they were pretty well written and good death metal.
