What do you think of Scream and it's follow-ups Scream 2 and Scream 3? I can't remember the murderer's motive in the first Scream it's been so long since I've seen it. And I've only seen bits and pieces of the third Scream so I can't comment on neither one of them. But I did own Scream 2 on VHS and I watched it a lot so I remember a little bit of what happened in that movie. There were two murderers instead of one Mickey was babbling on excitedly about a trial while the middle-aged woman (I forgot her name.) was raving about her revenge motive.

Classic. Its a good thing that they chose to just keep it as a trilogy and not have it go to 'Scream 25' like most horror movies.

Scream - I liked it.
Scream 2 - I kind of liked it, but it wasn't really anything that different than the first.
Scream 3 - The first half was a bit stupid but had its funny moments. The second half was as good as the first Scream, if not a little better.

I've only ever seen the first Scream movie. Great film. :D

I really liked the first one, and the second one was also quite good. The third one was pretty bad, though. Too bad.

The Scream movies were alright, though a problem with them is that they aren't really that scary. The original Scream was a pretty good movie, having some fun and good moments. Scream 2 was like a typical sequel, not really on par with the original movie. Scream 3 was somewhat better, but still not as good as the first movie, even though it had quite a lot of story and humor (there were some moments when I wasn't really sure whether this was a horror movie or a comedy :p). I agree with exit60b about it being a good idea to make Scream a trilogy rather than just keep making sequels.

Well, I've actually heard that the Scream movies are supposed to be comedies rather than horror flicks.

Ah man, Scream was my favorite movie for several years. It was my favourite at the age of 10, because it was scary. I still find the mask to be VERY scary. I'd be terrified if someone came into the room wearing that mask. And I know pretty much all of the lines in Scream 1 and every little detail. I was such a dork. I know a fair bit about Scream 2, and not so much about Scream 3. I've probably watched Scream 1 over 15 times, Scream 2 a few times less, and I've only seen Scream 3 like 5 times.
When I grew older, I found it to be more of an entertaining movie than a scary one. There's some pretty good jokes in there, and the actors are simply amazing. Especially Neve Campbell.

I love the Scream movies. They're like the epitome of all slasher flicks. They had a really fragile balance of slashy goodness and humor but handled it all well.
The first one is my favorite, and I actually thought the second one was incredibly good. I didn't really like the third one much.

The Scream sequels are odd (because of how they end) but they aren't bad.
The second movie made no sense to me though.
The last movie ended REALLY oddly, but at least it sorta makes sense?

Really? I think the Scary Movie films are comedies that make fun of horror movies, and the first Scary Movie had a lot of jokes about the first Scream film. I have to admit the Scream movies felt at times like they made fun of other horror films, though. Just think about Randy's character. :D It's kind of funny with Scary Movie and Scream since there's a comedy making fun of a comedy making fun of horror films.
