View Full Version : What is intense excercise for you?

So what's the point that you can lose lots of calories, but take a short time daily (intense excercise)?

For me it's speed-walking on a treadmill and lifting two 5-pound weights in both my hands, 30 minutes.

I think that if you really want to lose a significant amount of calories you have to exercise for a decent amount of time.

I like taking 5 mile bike rides, lifting weights, and doing push ups and sit ups.

Actually what I do at my work is pretty good exercise on it's own.

My work out? Pumping 2x 2.5 kilo weights until my arms get tired (ten minutes?) and then five minutes solid of sit ups, a few push ups, and walking home each day with all my books in my bag, about 30-45 minutes. That's my regeime, and i think it's intense enough for me. But i am taking up kick boxing again hopefully, provided i can shell out the cash.

Biking is probably what burns the most calories out of the things I do. Ju Jitsu will probably take it's place when I start up again with that.

I used to have a thing about losing weight so I would seriously sit there on a rowing machine half the day and just keep going most I ever did in one sitting was about 5 hours (give or take one I wasn't really keeping track too well) and I fell off after puking up.

40-60 situps, 25 push-ups, 100 star-jumps and a plethora of jumping jacks usually does the trick for me. Walking to work and back every day just doesn't tire me out like it used to.

Why do you guys wear yourselves out to death? :p Honestly, if you think some muscle tone's going to make you cool, well... it probably is but that's not the point. Walking to work and college is enough for me. I don't need to put in any extra effort.

Wait, aren't star jumps and jumping jacks the same thing?

I thought of a new one which is a good workout; laughing at udsuna.
