Hi, I have a question about the special magazines in the game. I read that there is a magazine (Weapons Mon Apr) in squall's room (the room he gets after being a seed in disc 1). But I forgot to take it. Now I am in the second disc (desert prison mission). Can I take the special magazine in that room when I return to Balamb garden in disc 2? Or is the magazine lost? And if I cannot take the magazine back, can I always upgrade my weapon into the Leonheart for getting the maximum attacks?

You do not need the magazines to remodel, they are just recipes for what you need. When you aquire the right "ingredients" for a weapon, it will turn up in the Junk shops.

As for what you need, check www.gamefaqs.com, they have several complete lists.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I thought you needed it for weapons upgrades. But if you want the magazine only for collections. Can I still find the magazine in that room? (just curious)

I have another question about magazines. I was in the D-prison. I went to the bottom floor (1st floor) and I didn't found the Combat King 001 magazine. How can it be?

Well...squall's ultimate weapon's magazine can only be found during the dream...I mean the dream that Squall is Laguna...in the...place where Laguna is battling his way through the prison to find Elone...and look carefully it's secretly hidden...very secretly..so do walk slower...it's I think in the control room somewhere...don't go out of the prison before you get the magazine...you'll miss it..like i do :eep:

It's according to the storyline...maybe you havent play until that part yet...but I think even with Revolver you can beat the final boss...most important thing is get the lionheart's magazine...

Correct me if I'm wrong,buyt if you missed the 1st issue of the Weapons Monthly magazine,you can use Tonberry's Familiar ability(that is,if you have already learned it) and buy it in Esthar for 50000 gil.

Hi, I read that you can receive the magazine Occult Fan III from the master fisherman. But I forgot to go to the master, I am now in the mission before the party that Selphie had organised (concert in FH). Can I still receive it from that master? And where can I find him?

I'm afraid not. The Master Fisherman event is a one time event Squall can go through at the arrival at FH. However, you MAY be able to get it once you're playing as Squall again while you're on Disc 2, I'm not sure.

Visit Timber Maniacs, which Laguna worked for as a journalist. Find a copy of Girl Next Door in the book piles on the floor in the lobby then enter the door on the left. The dark room hides a Blizzaga DP. After using it, leave and enter the door at the end of the hall. Find a copy of Timber Maniacs on the floor and speak to the editor if you wish. Leave the building and talk to the guy wearing a gray-green jacket outside to receive an item from him later on in Disc 2. Enter the house next door and speak to the woman. Go upstairs to look out the window then leave the house. Continue heading east to the 2nd train station. Go to the platform above and enter the house on your left.

Cus you can trade it for the Shiva card, I believe. I tried to look at it the first time I played and there was nothing. Can't. :crying: That's probably the only thing I don't like about FF8. And Adel. lol

You get the Shiva card in the beginning of the 3rd disc from Zone on the White SeeD ship.

BUT you need to give Zone the magazine for free, or you won't get the card.

Ohhhhhhh so that was the way I got Shiva's card! ^^ I didn't remember... I haven't played FF8 since last year, so I don't remember it very clearly... ^^
