I was reading a book called Game Development Essentials, by
Jeannie Novak, a great book if you're interested in the gaming business but not part of it yet. Well, near the end of the book (one of the last chapters) there is a small section on how to get info on games. The bottom left corner of the page shows a picture of EOFF as an example. I was quite suprised.

Uh. That's not legal.

Why not? Is viewing the front page of EoFF something you have to pay for? If it showed content that had to be paid for, there'd be a legal argument. If it was even just private and you had to register for it, maybe. But it's public and free.

That's pretty nifty. How new is the book? I'm curious if it's the new EoFF style or the classic blue one.

Uhm, I think they mean scanning the page out of a copyrighted book is illegal. I have this book, and never freakin noticed this.... I will check it out when I get home.

Nobody will mind. If they do, we'll tell them it was scanned in and posted by accident.

Whether it's legal or illegal the author should've asked permission from an administrator to mention this site in a book. I think.

That's still awesome. :D Out of all the FF Forums out there they mentioned EoFF.

What? EoFF is the only party standing to benefit from the situation. No one is buying this lady's book because of its awesome Eyes on Final Fantasy coverage. Lay off the moonshine, you drunkard.

First, I'd like to say how suprised I am that there are so many posts. Wow. Second, I can't scan it because it's at the bookstore, where i read it without buying it. And the picture showed the site in a grayish color. Could've been blue, and the book is copyright 2005. And there was barely mentioned; less than the EGM mentioning, in fact.
Bipper should confirm and/ or explain. And scan.
