The Shawshank Redemption

It's my all-time favourite movie. It had so many things right with it, and it made me feel more positive after looking at it. In an interview with the movie-makers, they said that they actually got letters from people that said it prevented them from committing suicide for whatever reflections gained from the film.
What is your opinion on the movie The Shawshank Redemption?

One of my favorite movies by far. I beleive this was Tim Robbins and Morgan Freemans best performance thus far. And to be honest, I have to say that I shed a tear when Andy finally escaped from Shawshank and then at the end when him and Red got back together.

If you like good movies and have never seen Shawshank Redemption pick it up as soon as you can. And by good movies I mean ones that are actually nominated and/or won awards.

I only ever read the book. I was in the same room as the film, but I think I was busy. All I remember is some guy saying in a wyrd accent about saying it would take 20 years to tunnel out.

Great book, even greater film. It truly is a masterpiece and I never get tired of watching it.
