1: Streets of Rage 2. Never have like Street Fighter, no matter how many Turbo Alpha Pluses they shove in front of it.
2: Sonic. Mario may be the more challenging game, and the one I've played the longest, but nothing beats the speed feeling of Sonic.
3: Chrono Trigger. Probably the best RPG for the SNES (probably), plus Shining Force 2 > Shining Force
4: Gunstar Heroes. No brainer here, best two-player game in exsistence. Totally worth hunching around a keyboard with your drunk friend even if it's clocking in the years.

1. Diablo. Primarily because I played it more, and I consider it to be one of my favourite game series ever.
2. Strider. Ninja Gaiden has, well, Ninjas. I heard it was meant to be called Ninja Garden and be even more lame.
3. Flashback. Seriously, no contest here.
4. Doom. Alien Trilogy paled in comparison to the master of old school 2.5D FPS.

Diablo. It was a legend, and remains to be one of my all time favourite games ever.

Doom. THE best FPS game ever made, in my opinion. Only FPS to come close in sheer awesomeness is UT

1) Baldurs Gate - more depth, better magic system.
2) Strider - a random choice, as I've never played either.
3) Flashback - a revolutionary game (at the time).
4) Doom - how can Alien Trilogy compare to the original FPS?
