I'm flying into Birmingham UK for the weekened of December 29-31. What better to do than hang out with you guys? Who thinks they want to make it? We can all meet-up in Birmingham the morning of Saturday the 30th and do whatever that day. I'll have a hotel room that night (which I could use advice on where to go so I can book one now) so anyone thats needs to can stay over. Then we also have most of the day sunday.

Seems like our hero wants to kiss someone at New Years. Could it be Psy?

The 30th happens to be my birthday. That means Psy and someone else can get some action.

I don't know why the hell you'd go to Birmingham for New Year's. The two capitals (Edinburgh/London) are widely considered the 'places to be' on NY's, along with Sydney, New York and Paris. Hell, I just did a search for 'best new year's celebrations on both Yahoo! and Google and both came up with Edinburgh's Hogmanay first. :p Plus, get everyone to go to Edinburgh and I can give you all a place to stay. :p

Of course, I'm not expecting anything - I suspect the same reason you guys won't come here is the same reason I can't go down there. :) Money money money.

I don't think I'd want to go to the meet-up. As much as I like talking to a lot of you on here, many of you seem like extroverts and I'd probably feel pretty uncomfortable around you. :/

I like the sound of a meet up but I don't think the dates would be best for me.

For you, theundeadhero, I will see what I can do.

P.S. And if I can go, you must sing the 4 Heroes song for me. :excited:

Those dates aren't really ideal, but I won't rule anything out just yet. :)

I can only make London or Oxford without my parents asking questions.

The dates I picked are the only dates really available so that's what I went with. I know it's close to Christmas/New Year but nothing could be done about it. Edinburgh looks like an awefully long train ride from Birmingham, but if noone wants to meet up in Birmingham then I could catch a train to where a majority of members want to meet up.

It's just that with it being around New Year's (and my birthday, on the 1st) my friends and family will probably want me around for something or other. As for the location, if you're taking the trouble to fly over then I don't think you should be the one taking the train. Birmingham's pretty central anyway, so in terms of pure turnout it's probably your best bet.

The question remains, are there any decent people in Ireland to meet up with?

I can't go because I'm a vegetarian.

Don't worry, I'll come up with a better excuse before December 30. This is just an early draft.

London would be the best place to go for New Years. The fireworks display at the London Eye is really good.

The meetup is the Saturday, the 30th, which isn't new years at all. Anyone can go wherever they want on the 31st :twak:

You and me can sit in a darkened hotel room playing Final Fantasy V on New Year's eve. That's a little bit outrageous, but what can I say, I'm a par-tay animal.
