Hmm...this is front page news at Gamasutra.
Square Enix s.v.p. Michihiro Sasaki said:
"We don't want the Playstation 3 to be the overwhelming loser,so we want to support them.But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either,so we can't support them too much."

Yeah that's what they said at Gamasutra too.But you can't overestimate Square Enix can you?The heads at Microsoft must be rubbing their hands right now...

not really, the Final Fantasy series is probbly the bigest series in gameing history and as such millions of people will buy the console for the fact that it will have a Final Fantasy game on it (myself being one of them) so not really, no.

I've never bought a console just for Final Fantasy and it's my favourite RPG series. I've also never bought a console for one developer, either. Though that's why a lot of people bought their Game Cubes. :P

Considering the fiasco surrounding the PS3 now it's no wonder Squenix are having second thoughts about making FF a Playstation-only title.
