This is for the retro-gamers. Recently I've started some retro-gaming and I was wondering if anyone has good suggestions for the original NES or SNES (other than the obvious ones like the Final Fantasy series, the Zelda series or the Super Mario series.)

Kirby for the NES is really awesome!!!! :D There's so much mini-games and side-quests.

The Dragon Warrior series is also good. Even though it takes forever to level up in Dragon Warrior 1 and 2.

Wario Woods is also awesome. It takes a while to get used to the controls but once you do it gets addicting.

Contra is also fun. If you don't mind those games where 1 hit=Death.

Twinbee, Gradius, and Gyruss are recommended if you like shooters.

Chrono Trigger is good but you've probably tried that already.

I also like Terranigma.

I guess I can't blame you. :(

I don't like how water is opaque in Kirby's Dreamland 3.

But I did like how Kirby and Gooey have the same controls unlike in Kirby Super Star. :ghost: I also like how Kirby's Dreamland 3 is one whole game and not just a bunch of minigames. The Eyeball boss in Kirby's Dreamland 3 is way more better than Marx. His laugh got quite annoying.

That eyeball guy's going to be in my next sig. :D

As a kid I spent so much time playing Kirby's Adventure that it's almost sad. I have so fond memories of that game - makes me angry at myself for selling my NES and all my games back then for only about 100 US dollars.. sigh. So stupid.

Hey, now that this is back, I can make a suggestion!

Aladdin, SNES. It's actually pretty good.

Edit: That was very long ado, Queenie.

Holy thread ressurection, Batman!

I basically agree with everything Sephex said, especially Earthbound.

However, he didn't mention Kid Icarus, which is one of my all-time favorite NES games.
