I was making a cup of ramen and I always drain all the juice soupy stuff before I eat it to prevent mouth scalding. :)
In my mind it seems kind of weird, but what do you guys think. :)

Does anyone else eat their ramen juice-free? How do you like your ramen? Or do you like Ramen in general?

What the heck? That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

I tweak my ramen...put in vegetables and sometimes beef, pork, or chicken...thicken the broth slightly with cornstarch...ahhh.....oishii desu!

I drank it all the time when I was a kid, stopped for years for the same reason you do, and now I've started drinking it again cause it is nice. I just put an ice cube or two in there at first so it gets cooler faster. Or at least I am deluded enough to think that it does.

I knew it. :(

Yeah that's why I don't like the juice, but I don't like it to get to squishy. Sometimes I'll put it in the freezer for a bit but then it's just odd. :greenie:

I don't eat the stuff often, but when I do I'll drain most of the juice. You have to leave some so the noodles don't go dry, but I like spoonfulls of noodles and not flavored water.

I eat my ramen mostly juice-free. I leave just a little bit so that the ramen won't get too dry.

You eat noodles with a spoon..? and whats wrong with flavored water? Most liquid "flavorers" are made of water.

There is way too much salt in the ramen soup base for me to even think of consuming it. Actually, I like cooking the noodles and leaving the packet thingy out all together, which is what I did for dinner tonight.

this posts reminds me of my first year at high school. There was an instant-ramen machine or something that, for a dollar, would dispense a cup of instant noodles of your choice. I always got the shrimp because I like shrimp. Then you put it in a special compartment and it would fill the cup with hot water. Used to be all I ate at lunch, until I got sick of it. I used to drink the juice once the noodles were gone 'cause it tasted good.

I keep the juice for last after finishing the noodles :p But too much is bad since it tastes too diluted then :p

Heck yay!

I have, however, once had noodles cooked with pre-cooked sausages in the same pot, and then you drain the pot afterwards... it was surprisingly nice. This is what you do when you're a bunch of 12-13 year old guys camping in the middle of nowhere. I think we drank the juice seperately in a cup or something. I forget.

I dont really eat plain ramen now, I add some paprika and chilli powder, and if i have it cover it in 2 cheese slices and bacon bits then microwave it to melt the cheese. and you're left with a spicy cheese sauce coating the noodles, and making the broth tastey as well.

If Ramen Noodles are anything like Golden Wonder Pot Noodles, then there's absolutely no way I'd ever drink the juice.

How disgusting!

Oh, no, it does. It just tastes more diluted. Which is yrrrch.

I let the noodles grow soggy amidst the sea of ramen juice~ (okay noodles can't really go soggy, can they!?)

*nodnodnodnod* It's delicious.

Also, just like Poojie, I like my noodles to be extra soft.

You sir have gone to far. My nose is runny so I -might- leave the juice in. Oh and to those who say it's to salty, I tend to put more salt on mine. I'm a heart-attack waiting to happen. :(

I put a tiny bit of milk in mine to cool it a little. I don't drink the juice, but i don't pour it all out because hten the noodles would get really cold.

I drain most of it, then put the seasoning pack on the noodles, it makes the taste so much better, not deluted by all of this water.

Not broken, just enough water to boil it, with broth and green onions/celery added, drain more than half the broth and munch happily on the noodles.

Boiling chicken and using the broth itself to cook the ramen is awesome. Then you can just debone the chicken meat and cook it in there ( vegetables optional but encouraged ).

Slipping celery and onion and carrots and etc etc in to Ramen is just about the only way I can get Myles to eat anything vegetable related. =/

Mmm, ramen. I cook the stuff with a egg in there, and when it's done, throw some fried ham on top. Keep the juice, I like to drink it as I eat the noodles.

I also eat it with chopsticks. Is that odd?

I do it all the time, nothing odd about it. And fellow Utah neighbor, do I know you?

nay!

I leave it in, draining it would be too much trouble, but I never drink it. It is FAR too salty, and I fear it might kill me.

Unbroken noodles in a small amount of broth.

My brother likes to drink the broth, it makes me gag.
