Hey, I have a client who made a bunch of gif files with some stupid program, anyway he'd like to put them all together to run after each other to put on a CD.

I thought flash might do it, but the Gifs are reeeally long. I put one in and it takes up 957 frames. Doesn't flash have a limit with frames, (or size in MB) where it will stop playing or get an error after a while? I guess I'll test it but they go on soooo long.

Are there any other programs that would do this other than Flash or AfterEffects... thanks.

Can you just put them all into an AVI?

With after effects/premiere? I guess, looking for the quickest and easiest way really, maybe that is it?

Well, if premiere didn't thrash my system where I couldn't run it, I would experiment and tell you.

Don't worry, I can test it in aftereffects tomorrow. I've put them in Flash for now and it seems okay. Really also wondered if there was a free program that would do it at all, but I can't think what, so probably not. (so my client could do it himself). Thanks, I think I'll be ok, but if anyone else has any suggestions/advice, feel free.

GIMP handles animated GIFs, each frame being on a different layer :p But yeah, at that length, you should really be looking at using a video container like avi or mkv instead :p
