The english opening has now been released. It does contain some beginning spoilers. If you saw the Japanese version, theres nothing new except the voices.
The voice acting is awesome.

The voice acting is also awfully out of sync. I really hope it is just because of a poor rip.

I have seen the video on Youtube - the issue isn't with the original video but with the recording; the poster actually apologizes for it

I watched the English opening. It reminded me of both WarCraft III and Star Wars. I like the medieval feel the game has, though. The English voice acting seemed pretty good, even though we didn't get to hear the main characters talk.

I thought it had more of a Meditarranean/Arabian vibe.

I played the English retail version on Saturday for about 5 hours, so I was able to see this, as well as hear a lot from the main characters. The voices are all fantastic. My favorite has to be Fran. You couldn't really tell too much from the trailer that was released a while ago, but she actually has a sort of Icelandic accent which works very well and strangely suits her. There are actually a lot of accents in the game, more than normal, they really benefit the atmosphere of the game, I think.

It's nice to have a lot of different accents in the game. If they're done well, that increases the translation quality a lot. Chrono Cross had a lot of different accents, although it wasn't voiced.

Your spot on with that comment. I have the english game (dont ask how), and Fran's voice is awesome, really strange, but awesome. I thought i heard a similar accent before but couldnt quite figure out what. Now its clear, Fran is Bjork!
