I'd like to know what you call this N64 tool that you put into the back of the console itself; you know, the one you put in the smaller input.
It's the one with those red, white and yellow cords.

Also, can you buy it separately in regular stores?

Um... the scart?

Yeah, guess so.
Can you buy that thing in a random store, or is it a vital part of the N64?

Also, I'm talking about the wire.

Uhh, the scart's the cables used for audio and video. The scart cable for the N64 might be different than standard scart cables but I'm not really sure. When you refer to the wires, do you mean the separate pins that go into the scart plug? O.o'

The thing is, for some reason my SNES only works when I use this wire with it, but my little brother has borrowed my N64, and he's not at home right now, so I can't use the wire for the moment.
Therefore, I'd like to get a new one.

Nintendo's cords are universal with their systems, so any N64/GCN/SNES cord would allow you to input the audio and video to your television or VCR.

Yeah, they should be around $10 USD for a universal cord. Any store that sells video game equipment or electronics should have one.
