Apparently. (http://www.urbanretrolifestyle.com/2006/09/30/zelda-cartoon-and-comics-galore/)

And there's links to the terrible cartoons too!

And people complained about his look in Wind Waker.

Ditto....
Although I do admit to watching the cartoon when I was little.. .I only consistently look at the manga. Haven't dared look at the comics though....

I knew a kid in middle school who had that comic. Wasn't it drawn by the same artist who was in charge of the shows Kikaider and Cyborg 009? I think it had a similar style, at least.

The "comics" are manga, actually. The artwork was done by Shotaro Ishinomori, the guy behind Cyborg 009, Kamen Raider, Kikaider, and Goranger.

Edit: Sup Azar?

It looked like a pretty good manga, though what little I saw of Kikaider and Cyborg 009 was unappealing. But since I am a Zelda whore, I will download it. :p

Yeah. Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Minish Cap also have them.

Not to mention the other LTTP manga, and the Link's awakening manga, and four swords manga.

And the truly american comics than ran concurrent with the cartoon. Not too bad actually.

As a side note, Link's first officially spoken words HAVE to be "Well excuse me princess"

Addendum: And the OTHER OTHER LTTP manga, which was at least partly inspired by the same one that appeared in NP (identical ganon's fortress)

Hey I liked the cartoons. They even creatively answered the question "Where did he get/how did he carry all of those wonderful toys?"

No.... there are Japanese mangas... but there are also American comics released for Zelda. However, the comics were shorter lived then the mangas

Well I've read the OoT, MM and Minish Cap mangas, they were pretty good but too short I felt -- I found fan translations somewhere around the net.

That's what I was referring to.

Nintendo Power actually came out with a graphic novel of that manga combining all the issues so you didn't have to read each magazine to enjoy it. They did the same with Super Mario Bros, but I never saw any with the Star Fox comics or Metroid.
