I don't know if I'm excited for this or not. (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/736/736044p1.html)

Can I get a hell yeah? Take a bitchin' sci-fi world that stems from a game originally planned to be an RTS, and then hand it over to the creators of the fantastic Age of Empires series. Even the fact that it's on a console probably won't be enough to keep it from being great. Hopefully.

Keyboard and mouse are almost necessary for a decent RTS game. I would image the controlls would have to be very different from the standards of Warcraft and C&C to work well enough on a console.

It will probably suck, because Bungie are sell-outs. Even if it isn't Bungie who're developing it... it's gonna suck anyway. Just like Halo 2 did, and just like Halo 3 and the movie will.

Halo was going to be a PC RTS in the first place anyway.

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 for Xbox 360 had some fairly well done controls for an RTS, so it is possible to have competent RTS controls on a console.

Oh... hmm... I dunno... I doubt it. I was far from impressed by Halo as an FPS, I don't see how it could work or be any better as an RTS. :(

Halo + Awesome genre = yes.

I do not see how anyone can fail to be excited by this :(

Shaun: How do you figure that stuff about selling out? o__O

how will the RTS's normal "Mouse and Keypad" turn into a XB360 game?

I can't see an RTS on a the XB360, and I'll be greaveing the loss of Hotkeys.

I coulden't stand BFME2's controls for the XB360, and I don't think an RTS goes well on that.

Can't the 360 support a USB Mouse and Keyboard? I'd be very surprised if it doesn't, and if it does then this game will surely have mouse and keyboard support.

I can see this going either very well or very badly. An RTS would fit the Halo universe perfectly, but it could well end up being an average game made to capitalise on an awesome licence. I sincerely hope that won't be the case, though, and I'll be following this game with interest.

Halo showed that FPSes really could have a decent control scheme on a console, perhaps they're trying to do it again for RTS.

As far as I know (and have tested), 360 doesn't support a mouse. Keyboard is simple, but I don't have any applications for a mouse.

Groovy. Halo going back to it's roots. If only they would release it for a mac. >.>
