I know we've all done it. Our brother or sister or friend tells us something false, but we believe it for many years to come and then make a fool out of ourselves later on. I'm not sure about you guys, but I was told a lot of wrong things when I was young, and believed a lot of them.

For instance, I always thought marriage was the key to having children. If you weren't married, then you couldn't have kids. But if you were married, then kids would come out randomly until you were 40.

I also believed that gasoline (gas) was liquid "fart", and that I could run a car off of farts if I wanted. Stuff like that.

Let's hear your beliefs that you had in false things.

I searched through Junon with a comb to find the entire set of the soldier dolls so I could have Sephiroth in my team.

12 years old, so much hope and faith. SMASHED. :(

I also believed I was special. :(

I really believed I could fly if I climbed up in a tree high enough and then jumped off. I couldn't.

I don't really remember many. But I do remember many arguments between friends and myself about how babies came into existence. Well, by then we knew where they came from but now how they came from there. We were around... 12, or 13. :-[

A friend of mine got told (when he was a lil' kid) that if he pushed his belly button his butt would fall off. One day he conquerd his fears though. (spelling?)

One time my friend told me I was dead I believed him until I got hungry. On another occasion the same friend stole my nose and still hasn't given it back.

A really horrid rumour that went around school was about a girl in our year and what she liked to do with carrots... I dunno if it's real or not but many believe it. Random people from around go up to her and ask if she's carrot girl. lol.

I once believed that, if your diesel car was out of diesel and you had no spare, you could fill the tank with cooking oil, and it would run fairly well for a long enough time.

Oh wait, you can.

I thought the Pink Floyd was another name for the Pink Panther. I thought both were the same thing. I believed that till a few months ago when I found out Pink Floyd was a band.

My mind went naughty places and they're glad to have it back. Might I presume the 'thing' is in the same general body region as I am contemplating?

No offence ~SS~, but I see that as kinda selfish. Unless it was a joke, then LOL.

But I'll pretend it wasn't. I feel good about myself when I help people out, which (CORNINESS ALERT! CORNINESS ALERT!) is a good enough reason for me to do good. I don't expect somthing in return, but sometimes you will get something of material value.

I can't remember what this thread was originally about, but I love giving to people. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, hmm, lost my train of thought. See what you made me do?

EDIT (10 seconds later): I'm such a retard. I didn't realize that I was the one that created this thread. Wow....
