Sanctuary/Passion is probably my favorite video game lyric deal, with Simple and Clean behind it :jess: If not those, maybe Sweet Song from Xenosaga Episode II.

Silent Hill 3...You're Not Here
top SH song. the last time i listened to it as audio, my pc crashed not many days later.

Final Fantasy IX...Melodies of Life
this song works better than a chill pill.

Final Fantasy X...Suteki Da Ne
of the latest Final Fantasy songs to come out, this is the only latest that i ever liked.

Dance Dance Revolution...Butterfly/Golden Sky
well, it's practical that i ever played 30min of DDR, but these songs are really catchy.

Sadame (Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven)/Crimson Flower (Tenchu: Fatal Shadows)
well, they're both in a stalemate. i like the vocals and i think both pieces is a tad better than Suteki Da Ne.

The Best is Yet to Come (Rika Muranaka/Aoife Ní Fhearraigh, Metal Gear Solid).

On a slightly different note, I love Korobeyniki (Tetris), even though the game doesn't have the vocals.

My favorite vocal song is Melodies of Life from FFIX. I especially like the orchestrated version of the song, played in FF Concert 2002 and FF More Friends Concert.

And also, do sngs with latin lyrics count? 'Cuz I liked The Hymn of the Fayth in Final Fantasy X, too.

Hymn of the Fayth wasn't sang in Latin. The lyrics consist of anagrammed Japanese words.

Growing Wings from Drakengard. :D Or perhaps Lonely Rolling Star from Katamari Damacy? Although I'm not sure if those songs were made for the game or not.

Eyes on me - FinalFantasy VIII
Melodies of life - Final Fantasy IX
1000 words - Final Fantasy X-2
To You - Final Fantasy X-2
Simple And Clean (Long Trip) - Kindom Hearts
Passion (Long Trip) - Kingdom Hearts II
Do You Still Believe - Legend Of Dragoon

For those of you unfamiliar with the KH songs there are actually two versions of each song. The Short Trip played at the beginning and the Long Trip at the end. I like the Long Trips more, because they have extra verses and are slower.

Simple and Clean (all versions)- I love that song and just about everyone here knows the lyrics. Even people who don't even know what Kingdom Hearts is still know the lyrics.
Melodies of Life- FFIX - Woot
Otherworld -FFX That song is just awesome
Real Emotion - FFX-2 - I heard that song on a commerical from another room at home and I scrambled to the other room to see what it was and I saw FFX-2. My reacation to Yuna singing: O.o? I love that song.
I also like the single vocals for Yuna, Rikku, and Paine.

Song of MANA, the ending version.

My boyfriend looked at me funny the first time he heard me sing that one. "Whaaa? What kind of crazy language is THAT?" "It's Swedish." "Since when do Canadians speak Swedish?" "..."

I hope I just overlooked a post where someone mentioned the song that Celes sings at the Opera house in FF6. Because that song is superior to the Hymn of the Fayth in so very many ways.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MARIIIAAAAAAA"
"DRAAAAAAAAAAACOOOOOOOOO"

I'm sure several people have recorded the song with actual lyrics, even if just for their own personal pleasure. I think a lyric'd version underlies an FMV in Final Fantasy Anthology, but it's not English. And if it is English, it's not regular English, it's some kind of fancy English.

Liberi Fatali from FF VIII is great
and
Suteki Da Ne from FF X has such an impact because of the emotion of the game.
