Who do you think would win in a fight Batman or Spider-Man? I think this would be a pretty even fight and nobody would be the under dog. Batman is just an ordinary human being and Spider-Man has superpowers but he isn't indestructible like Superman...So I think Batman would have a chance and so would Spider-Man.

But...On second thought I choose Batman because he doesn't fawn after some stupid red head.

NOOO not a good fight. You can't do that to me. My two favorite superheros. No.

Batman was trained by ninjas and spiderman has ninja like qualities. I think a Ninja would win, not batman, not spider man. A Ninja.

The Fat Bioware Nerd

Yeah but a ninja isn't a part of the equation I said Batman V.S. Spider-Man NOT Batman V.S. Spider-Man V.S. Ninja...If you don't want to vote that's fine nobody is forcing you to vote.

Yeah.

I'm going to agree with Lekana and say Ninja. :smash:

I guess I'm just tired of hearing lame jokes my younger brother has told me lame jokes all my life...Anyway I think it would be interesting if this fantasy battle between Spider-Man and Batman was turned into a movie.

It would be A LOT more interesting than Batman V.S. Superman : The Movie because it's a fair fight. If the Dark Knight went toe-to-toe with the Man of Steel he'd probaby lose because Superman is incredibly strong and invincible.

I never liked Batman, he always has to use his intelligence to win. Pfft.

Peter is smart too, but he's got the radioactive superpowers to back it up.

The Fat Bioware Nerd
10-09-2006, 03:39 AM
Yeah but doesn't Spider-Man have to use his intelligence to win too?...Because everytime Spider-Man had fought a villian he was the under dog in that fight so he'd have to use his brains to out smart that villian. Spider-Man just couldn't over power villians like Superman because he's strong but he's not that strong.

Does Batman have time to plan?

Anyway, in a straight up fight I give it to Spidey over Batman. Batman may have the gadgets and be prone to planning for all contingencies, but Spidey is also for all intents and purposes a genius (not on the level of someone like Reed Richards, but he's pretty darn smart). Toss in the webs, and the fact that he outclasses Batman in speed, strength, reflexes, and very likely his ability to take a beating and he's in a league of his own here. Can't forget about the Spider-sense either which will warn him about everything Batman throws at him in advance. As long as Spidey plays it smart there's no reason he shouldn't win.

Both will kill each other if they're to continue a fight until one of them fall...

When it comes to fighting as normal, id say batman. He is older and has more expierence, and spider man is some teenage loser! LOSER! LOL

lets not forget, Batman.. if he gets in fight against hard enemies, he uses his suroundings to help him, and is good at stealth. Not gay stealth where you hide up a wall, but where you can be infront of someone without them seeing you, plus Batman would make an strategi to kill spider-man and succed.

Spiderman, no question. He has the Spider sense, so Batman could never get the drop on him. Spiderman is stronger and faster than Batman as well.

Well, in a fight, probably Spider Man. But Batman > Spider Man.

Spider-Man has his spider sense but did that help him when he fought against the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopuss in the movies? No he still got his ass kicked.

yeah the spider sense is almosr worthless in the movies...oh well. spidey still wins in a fight. he's superhuman where batman is a psycho with millions of dollars

actually with regard to Superman vs batman, DC comics even had them fight. Superman got his ass handed to him by batman and his kryptonite gauntlets ^ ^

But in all fairness, if the Bat has time to plan, he can creat a gizmo to overcome spidey. But if spidey, with his speed, reflexses, senses, and strength were utilized to thier fullest, he beats the stuffing out of batty.

Although, even though they can go airborne, in an airborne fight, spidey would win due to his webbing and the reasons stated above, even with the bat and his jets.

Underground though, it might be a little more in the bats favor, for webbing and the such are a little more of a hindrance than an aid to spidey. However, his spidey sense and other abilities will compensate

But like I said before in the movies Spider-Man's spider sense didn't do jack .

Hmm. First time fight, I think Spidey would win. He has the superhuman speed and strength to match and outclass any of Bat's various enemies, and many of them have managed to force Batman into a retreat.

But in the REMATCH, I think Batman would win. Probably using sonic based weapons to disrupt the spidey-sence. Various gas-grenades. Spiderman doesn't carry a gasmask, you know.

In the first spiderman, when peter first gets bitten and ends up in a fight with that bully, he ends up dodging his first punch due to spider sense and later on he dodges a few items thrown by the green goblin due to his spider sense. Your right I suppose, about spiderman's spidey sense doing nothing. :thumb:

Batman is the more interesting character, but Spider-Man would be favored in a fight (assuming Batman was granted his standard gear for the contest).

Keep in mind that Spider-Man confronted and defeated supervillains, while Batman focuses far more on taking out Gotham's criminal element which is made up more of freaks, psychos, and sociopaths than supervillains (there are a few exceptions, but not a lot).

Fighting-wise Spider-Man would be a step ahead of Batman due to his spider-sense, and a lot more mobile in most settings. It would be a good fight though...Batman can certainly take a punch as well as any.

To my knowledge there's no way to disrupt his spidersense; certainly not sonics at least. Aside from showing him an ear piercing good time, his Spidey sense would be fine. Also, no one should look to the movies to judge his spidersense. It's rarely used in them, though you could assume that any time he dodges anything is due to his spidersense helping him out, whether it's shown or not.

Still, going by the comics Spider-man has to take this one in a fight. Especially given his power boost almost a year ago. In fact, you can kiss Batman sticking to the shadows goodbye since Spidey has night vision now (regardless of how little it's actually used).

I think Spider-Man would eventually win with the combination of his super powers and intelligence. It would be a really tough fight, though. As for Batman possibly preparing for that battle with a lot of anti-spider gadgets, I remember Spider-Man also coming up with some extra equipment at times.

A thought just crossed my mind what if Batman acquired the symbiote? He would be twice as strong, twice as fast, and twice as agile as Spider-Man. Also Batman has such a strong sense of justice he might actually be able to control the symbiote...Oh! And I did mention that the symbiote can block out Spider-Man's spider sense?

If the symbiote and Batman could actually work together as a team, the Caped Crusader, utilizing his brains and the black ooze, utilizing it's brawn they would become unstoppable. Although The Symbiote Batman would have to defeat Spider-Man quickly before the symbiote's main weakness is exploited.

True, since Spider-man already knows the symbiote's weakness. Actually some of my favorite episodes of Spider-man were the ones where he was "possessed" by the symbiote.

This is absolutely no contest. Spider-Man can dodge bullets. He also has super strength. Batman doesn't have a chance.

That doesn't necessarily mean that Spider-Man is the best character (they're both awesome), but in a fight Spider-Man would absolutely win.

While the arguments for spidey are strong and I do like Spiderman much mroe as a character than Batman I'm going to tentatively go with Batman working under the assumption that Batman will always approach a fight from his own terms and create the conditions for his victory. Even then it'd be hard, but the way Batman fights generally gives him the edge.

Also, while both are extremely intelligent, I'd say Batman's much more experienced in the general area of fighting and tactics, which supports the above statement.

In a straight up match though Spidey would smack Batman around like nobody's business.
