How much do you have to pay for sales taxes where you live? We're at a moderately low 6% per dollar.

VAT sucks, since you have to spend 30pounds on one item to get it back when you leave :( and you have to fill out a form and stuff

GST (Goods and Services Tax) has been lowered from 7% to 6% throughout the country.

Anyways, there is also PST (Provincial Sale Tax).

Long story short, sale tax in Quebec is 14%.

I'm currently at college in Pennsylvania, US and I have no idea what the sales tax is. I also don't know the sales tax in Maryland, where my mom moved last year (that's where I live out of college).

However, I do know the sales tax in Delaware (just a couple of miles from where my mom lives and where I used to live) is 0%. :D

Ok, so maybe I left out a few details. :shifty:

It's reduced to 13% for foody groceries, and 8% for transportation. 25% for everything else.
