I was fighting Yin and Yang in the Shinra Mansion basement, and I was wondering if that means anything when it says stuff like "Yang is happy." Like, should I use certain magic or an element? Or do they just want the battle to take forever for no reason.

Aren't there a few other enemies that do something like that? I can't think of any.

Good question. In the mountains of Niblehiem, there's a giant bird you fight on the paths by the reactor. At one point a 'banner' comes up and says something like, 'Fury feels anger'. or something like that. I have no clue what it implies though.

Yin Yang was very annoying!
I think it had something to do with his next move. When it said Yang is happy his next move was more powerful than before(if i remember correctly.)But i don't know what triggers that reaction...

"Yang's happy" = Attack + 10. Always used as a counter attack to physical damage.
"Yang's excited" = Magic + 10. Always used as a counter attack to magical damage.

"Zuu feels Fury" is displayed when Zuu's HP is reduced to 75% and 50% of its maximum HP. It doesn't affect its stats or attack pattern.
