The 1980s will forever be infamous for the creation of two of the most homoerotic heroes of all time. First, there was He-Man (http://ser2.imgdump.net/images/s2_27f9cfc832746.jpg), who could defeat evil with his perfectly sculpted blond hair and ravishing good looks. And then came Lion-O (http://www.phys.ufl.edu/~siegel/lion-o2.jpg) of the Thundercats, a hairy hulk whose mighty sword grew as he yelled "Thunder! Thunder! Thundercats, HOOOOOO!" And the cat man was no slacker in the "suspiciously sculpted body" department, either. But which one of these two characters was just so flamboyant, so obviously over the top, you just couldn't help but giggle every time his show came on?

Discuss! Or just talk about the effect of these shows on your childhood. They are classics, after all.

Despite He-Man teaching me it was OK to be me, I must say Liono. His "Thundercats, HOOO" thing is just...It's great, you know  Tears of happy.

He-Man. After all, he is the strongest man in the universe. Lion-O's just the strongest, erm, cat-type thing.

He-Man is the only one I am familiar with. Plus, He-Man kind of reminds me of Maxx Power. I don't know why.

Ironically I would have to prefer He-Man.

I idolized both of them during childhood. I guess that's part of the reason I like strong men in addition to liking beautiful women...

I would have to say He-Man takes the gay cake, though. That nicely shaped blonde do he sported just shoutsed boy on boy action.

Definatly He-Man. I don't really recall the other one, but I remember watching He-Man all the time as a kid. It was my favorite cartoon untill I discovered Transformers.

So, basically, this is equivalent in the real world to "Who would win in a fight between NATO and a small village in Kyrgyzstan?"

Lion-O, quite obviously, is better in every way.

I did laugh more at He-Man though.

BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!

He-Man for the win. Just look at the live action Masters of the Universe movie for reasoning why.

As much as I prefer Lion-O, he was ever-so-slightly on the stupid side. So, yeah, He-Man, even though he's not as good.

I had so many He-Man toys when I was little xD, Even had Skeletor's Castle and Dungeon, plus some odd skeleton thing that was used to carry the little action figures.

I had several Thundercats books too. Ahh, those were the days.

But like Slade, I soon discovered Transformers..

Yeah, Transformers rocked harder than any of them both combined(or Thundercats cause I've never saw He-Man).
