How are the radio stations in your area? I only listen to two around here. One is ok, but the other one is really crappy. It was fine up until six months ago, but I don't think they've paid for any new music since then! O_o Every day they play Dani California and Crazy about a million times each. Now, I love both of those songs, but they're really old. The Chili Peppers are about to release their third single, and this station is still playing their first one.
Anyway, what are your local stations like?

Well. In Los Angeles we have KIIS FM with the detestable Ryan Seacrest. I don't care how bad your radio station is, it can't get any worse than Ryan Seacrest. Ughh.
I don't really listen to the radio anymore now that I have my iPod. Buuuut, I do tune into KROQ's morning show with Kevin and Bean. They are huge fans of Alias which means they are awesome awesome people.
I don't care for listening to music on the radio because they do play the same songs over and over and over until you feel physically ill listening to those songs. ipod ftw. :D

Our local radio stations are really poor.:( BBC radio Devon, I mean WTF!! :( But the Pirate radio stations he are amazing! There is one, nonstop metal and D'n'B 24/7! Its sooooo good!! They always play the heavy stuff, none of this wimpy linkin' park or Papa Roach stuff, I mean stuff like Lamb Of God, Pantera (R.I.P. :(), Killswitch, Megadeth, Metalica, Trivium etc. Its class.

Theres a few decent ones in my area. BBC 1xtra is great. Rinse FM is also great. Then theres commercial ones like Kiss and Capital. The only commercial station I like is Kiss. After 10pm, there is some really good UK hip hop being played with some of London's urban music playing. And during the day theres decent RnB.

Capital Radio and XFM are good, but I prefer XFM because it plays rock and it doesn't have Johnny Vaughn as the breakfast DJ.
I can't listen to commercial radio, because the proportion of adverts/inane chatter to music is far too high. Unfortunately there aren't any good pirate stations round my way either, so I tend not to listen to the radio very much at all.

They're pretty bad. Sometimes I listen to them coz the adverts are funnny, but the music they play is horrible beyond belief. And often overplayed.

I've never listened to radio a lot, but I have been moreso recently, as I ride around with my roommate a lot. We try to listen to this relatively new classic rock station called The River, but they play the same songs a lot. I hear Lola, Hotel California, Bohemian Rhapsody, or Stairway to Heaven practically every time I get in the car.
We have two country stations, two classic rock stations, two pop stations, and a college station that only comes in during specific hours.
Thank god for the CD player.

Yeah we have Dartmouth colleges 99 rock wich, use to be freaking awsome but due to strictness they can't swear and drink on ait anymore. I use to party with em in the station thingy. then there's Q106 wich isn't a bad classic rock station. then there's 97.1 wich is PoP and crappy and the rest are country or oldies.

I use to listen to Key 103 when I was back in Manchester. Its ok, but it gets boring when they do play the same track nearly three times the same day. Here in Bradford I listen to Classic FM.

i tend not to listen to the radio that much...but we have some good stations...am640mojo radio is a talk station for men which is HILARIOUS....the edge 102.1 is all alternative music...and Q107 classic rock, pretty good. we also have rock 95.7 but every one listens to that at work...they play a few songs ALL the time...like money by pink floyd and sweet home alabama....you get sick of their songs right quick

There's one good oldies station (KOOL), and one nice rock station (KUPD, but even that's pretty meh). I hardly ever listen to the radio.

There's this local radio station called Skala FM where I live. It stinks... a lot! When I listen to the radio I only listen to a radio station called P3, which is the largest in Denmark. It tends to be very informing and amusing plus the music is great (they play a lot of alternative music and up and coming bands along side the mainstream music).

I don't listen to regular radio stations too often. We have 6 around here, 5 of which are good. (The other claims to have the newest music and then plays something from 1988.) But I mostly listen to sports radio, and we have a decent ESPN syndicate.

I'm not sure. I only know like, two. No, three. Solid Gold, Hauraki and rock something. I've given up on all of them.
Sometimes—at about 3 in the morning—I will tune through stations and find whacked out talk shows, and the only callers seem to be old old old people. I rang them up once and shouted at the woman about something and hung up. I don't even know why I done it, and I felt like an idiot for a long time afterwards. Anyway, that's probably my most exciting story involving radio and its stations. Radio and I don't get along.

I miss Kevin and Bean. :( Adam Carolla isn't so bad, though.
My main radio stations are KRZR (http://www.krzr.com) and 104.1 Alternative Radio (http://www.1041fresno.com), although I listen to a lot of ESPN Radio as well.

Oh my fucking god. You HAVE to be from Arizona to know that man. My old man listens to classic rock all the time. Those are the only stations he will ever listen to.
Good stations, though. I tend not to listen to the radio unless it's Howard Stern on Sirius. If I listen to FM radio, a lot of songs I consider good become repetitive by listening to them all the time, and over time, I start to hate the song and the band with a passion. AFI "Miss Murder" is a good example. Thanks to the Edge 103.9.

The only thing I listen to on the radio is a talkshow called Rover's Morning Glory, other than that, I just put a CD in.

The only commercial station I listen to is KRFX "The Fox". It's really good for my classic rock fix.
Though the main reason I listen is for "Alice Cooper Nights" and the more recent "The Harland (Williams) Highway". Both those guys know how to put on a fun and interesting DJ show.
Oh, and college radio. You can never go wrong with some good college radio.
