If your working, in the shower, on your PC or just relaxing, do you have some background noise?

At the moment I have Father Ted in my DVD player. Ive been having that on alot lately when Im on my PC. When Im in the shower, I'll either have Classic FM on or once again, Father Ted.

I have to have background noise, I cant stand silence! I would go mad if I didnt have some noise to listen to.

I need some kind of music, TV, or my own singing most of the time. :)

I like the sound of water. But I like sleeping with music because it helps my dreams. I like working with music because it helps kick me into gear when I can't be arsed. Music has a huge affect on how I react to things, my mood, everything about me basically. Music is my soul.

It's the same for me, although I don't sing... I'm a horrible singer.

I don't usually like background noise while I'm working because it distracts me, but I'll listen to music when I'm on the computer and working.

I have TV on in the background, or music playing on my headphones. Currently, I'm listening to the background sounds of the movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

I love backgroundnoise, but I don't need to hear it, the best stereo system is the one inside your head.

When I'm working on homework, I listen to the radio. And when I try to fall asleep, I listen to the TV. I can't fall asleep without some sort of background noise.

I just switch over to MTV and listen to the music on there while doing whatever.

Only very rarely. I like my silence.

the 4000 and 2000 rpm my computer fans put out are all the background noise I find I need these days. Music is sorta distracting.

Sometimes I listen to my computer as it completes operations. This matches the little yellow light under my power button precisely.

Music from the laptop and a buzzing noise from my lamp..

Oh, not to mention people outside shouting at the top of their voice.

I usually turn on the tv if I'm on the computer, even if I'm not watching it.. I hate when it's too quiet. That or listen to music.

I have music on most of the time no matter what I am doing. I can't really stand silence (yeah of course I wanna have silence at times and do). This is because I was born with a defect that means I can go deaf at any point in my life without any warning and it could be permanent. Anyway when I was in Years 4 and 5 (about half of each) I actually was pretty bad, I was technically considered as deaf, I couldn't hear anything clearly not even my own voice when I spoke. As such I used to shout quite a lot and didn't really speak much. I was pretty young and so I didn't learn sign but I did manage to pick up lip reading (it helped going to speach therapy) Thankfully I recovered from that bout of Deafness but I hold no hope for going through another and retaining my hearing.

That my friends (for those who were at the meet up this year and thought "ah steve is ok but a bit loud") is why I am so loud I still have this habit of raising my voice more than needed to speak.
