So, out of all the platforming Mario games, which is best? This includes the 3D Mario games, the Mario Bros. games, Super Mario World, the Super Mario Land games, and Shlupquack.

Where are the Gameboy Mario games in that Poll?

And if your gonna have Super Princess Peach, you should have included the Wario games too as they were good fun. And Luigi's Mansion as well(though it is hated, I like it).

It's pretty much a tie between SMB3, SMW, Yoshi's Island, and SM64 for me. They're all one of the best games their respective console's have to offer. Since I'm a bit older than most on here I'll vote for SMB3 so that it gets a bit fairer representation in the final tally.

Ack! I forgot the gameboy games and the Wario games! How can I be so denstacular? >_<

The Wario games, the Yoshi games, and Super Princess Peach are not Mario games. (Otherwise, Yoshi's Island would win by a landslide, obviously.)

So, it's down to Super Mario Bros. 3 and 4 for me. They both have a ton going for them.

I have no idea what that big word beginning with a D means, but I feel for you man! Been there, done that :crying:

My favourite from that list would be Mario 64. It is just timeless and great fun. I love it.

Mario Sunshine was just torture. Terrible camera angles and those special sections with the rotating blocks (I am sure all you who have played Mario Sunshine know what I'm talking about) were just awful. Really bad. One mistake and your doomed.

Yoshi's Island was also very fun. Loved it.

But I say Mario 64 gets my vote.

Super Mario Brothers 3.

If that is so, then you may edit the poll if you wish. o.o

Super Mario RPG was my favorite Mario game. Out of the ones on the poll, Super Mario World was decent, though otherwise, I don't really like the Mario games.

While Super Mario World holds a special place in my heart, World 5-3 from Super Mario Brothers 3 is blissful. Sometimes I play the game just to play that level. D:

Shlupquack is not allowed to have a reserved spot on a poll. :nonono:

It's preserved, not reserved. Completely different.

Yoshi's Island is Super Mario World 2.

And Wario Land is Super Mario Land 3, supposedly. But it's the content of a game that decides whether it's a Mario installment, not the title.

Well Yoshi's island had Mario, Luigi, Mario-based enemies and Bowser as a final boss.

Agreed.

Choosing from the poll, Super Mario World gets my vote. I love the music and graphics, and the level design is excellent. Plus, it has a good difficulty curve, and who can forget the simply awesome world map?

i never looked much into the Mario series unless it's one of the Mario Party games. i have always liked them better, but i can make an exception on the first three Mario Bros games...

Almost impossible for me to decide, but if I absolutely have to pick, it would be Super Mario Bros. Simply for the fact that it was the first game I ever played, and it was the one that turned me into this great geek that I am.

SMB4: SMW is best cause it was last 2D Mario.

SMB3, world or 64. They all brought hours of fun to me. I'm gonna go with sweet childhood memories and pick SMB3.

It would probably be Super Mario 64. I like it mainly because it makes you think of how to get to that star, it's fairly long, and the difficulty curve is set up well. The difficulty at the end is enough so that I don't blow through it within seconds, but low enough that I don't end up screaming wanting to punt my system off a rooftop.

Super Mario World is my favourite. It's full of so much secret levels. It was also my very first game I completed 100% without using the internet. :D

Why is the 1994 Donkey Kong an option? I dont believe that Mario had anything to do with that game.
I voted for Super Mario World. I have the best childhood memories of that game.

The 1994 Donkey Kong game for Game Boy starred Mario. It was similiar to the original Donkey Kong in terms of gameplay.

Super Mario World or Mario 64. Both are amazing, but I've had so much more fun playing SMW, so that probably gets my vote.
