Yeah, you can get them from random drops and in many chests later in the game.

EDIT: Actually by playing Chocobo Hot and Cold you can get... a lot of them easily. (Do chocograph "puzzles")

: Synth at the Black Mage Village (Disc 4)
: Synth at Hades Synthesis Shop (Disc 4)

You can't get them from enemies.
