Does anyone know what the piece of music in this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwsgkurfCjE) trailer for the film Children of Men is? It starts at around 1:40 minutes, and it's been driving me nuts. Is it from a song or something? :D

Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros

EDIT - Great song.

It is a great song, though it's now on about 1000000 ads and trailers etc as background music.

This movie is clearly based on Edge of Sanity's songs Crimson (http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/edgeofsanity/crimson.html#1) and Crimson II (http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/edgeofsanity/crimsonii.html#1)
Haven't seen the movie though, just going by the trailer and what imdb said when I looked it up earlier.

And Sigur Rós are win.

The movie is based on a book written in 1992. As the albums of those particular songs were produced and released in 1996 and 2003, respectively, it is clearly impossible for your statement to be in any way correct.

As far as the movie goes, I just watched the trailer and it looks like it could be very interesting. I liked Prisoner of Azkaban well enough but I would probably go to see it because Clive Owen, Chiwetel Eijofor, and Michael Caine. They are all extraordinary actors. Especially Eijofor.

It's not like I actually believed that anyone who made a movie would have any clue who Dan Swanö is. It's just that I noticed clear similarities between the stories.

They're original and beautiful and there's no band quite like them.

In all honesty, Hoppipolla is their only stand out tune. The rest of them arent great :/

Wrong. Hoppipolla is far from being their best song. Pretty much anything off () or Ágætis Byrjun is vastly superior.

Track 4 off () is their only song I like other than Hoppipolla.

Agaetis Byrjun, () and Takk are all fantastic albums, and they often have wonderful music videos to go with the songs (Untitled 1, Vidrar del til Loftarasa, Glosoli...) - () is one of the best albums of the decade so far.

I didn't want to start a new topic so I thought I would post in this one as it's a similar matter. (sorry Spiffing Cheese) So can you guys tell me what the name of this (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1650) song is. (please click on Gears of War Cinematic). I heard this song several times but just don't know the name of it or who it's by.
