I know I made a similar thread a while ago but this subject makes me happy :p

Who likes to play DDR, and who likes to play Stepmania on the PC? :D And who has dance mats, and what sort of dance mats do you have?

I just ordered my first dance mat, a metal one (which was meant to be coming from lik-sang but now playasia ;_; ) And I can't wait to get it! I love the arcade machines and I want to get better at it...although it'll probably be slightly different I hope it will be similar.

I recently downloaded stepmania, and it's fun but just not the same with fingers...I really want to dance! My friends will never go on it with me when we're out but I dont' let it stop me :D And now I can dance loads yay (though I have no idea what a home mat will be like...)

Share your DDR/dancing stage love!

Mmm DDR. If you're getting a metal pad, go with a Cobalt Flux. Everything else has problems with the arrow keys getting stuck and the sensors dying out.

I've gone through about six soft pads in my DDR career.

And I still can't do Cartoon Heroes on Heavy!

I can't really afford quite that much...with postage too. But the one I'm getting had lots of good reviews from various places and I'm not really a heavy player...(yet) so hopefully it will be good. I think to start with it should be...though of course I have no idea, I bet I'm too heavy. xD

Ahh I love stepmania, just got a bunch of video games songs for it, Zelda and the FFXI boss theme is sooo fun. It's like my brain isnt thinking but somehow my fingers know where to go sometimes...spooky :D

I can't play DDR to save my life, I've got very weak legs. I do enjoy the drumming rhythm game immensly (can't remember the name, it's the one with two symbals/crashes and a tom which you can strike on the side?)

I loveeeee both, I use to play stepmania more often before the USB allowing me to use my mat to play it broke ._.

I love freestylers too, I could watch them all day  It looks so fun, I love the ending of that video too. Everyones saying I should get cobalt flux now but I'll see how this one goes and if my obsession lasts :p

ddr for the win. XD

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only issue with cobalt flux is that you can't feel where your feet are on the pad. The'res no edges between arrows.

Yeah, I heard you can buy an add on for cobalt flux so that you can... Okay so CF was just over £200...then with postage over £500! Definately too much for the moment, with the wii coming out soon. :p I saw a video on youtube of a guy with this pad doing really well. I'm such a noob anyway compared to like everyone....

I played last night in the arcades whoo :D Think I spent like £20 on it though..xD But stepmania has definately helped me improve...:p

I have a soft dance pad, but I haven't played DDR in a really long time. Now I kind of want to get Stepmania. xD

And that freestyler was amazing!

My Cousins have a really cheap dance mat that they can plug into their television. The graphics are no better than NES sprites, and the music ... well, it's bloody awful. :p

I've never played DDR. Perhaps I should.

Luuuuuuurve DDR. I'm pretty much crap at it, but I like to think I'm....bad. Gosh, I have no self-esteem. :P

What is a Cobalt Flux?

Well everyone is gonna start off bad, and then you can get better!

Yes, whoever hasn't got it should get Stepmania, it's free after all so why not, and maybe you can hook your dance pad up if you have one! http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Downloads - download the program. Then download songs from various places, they have links on that site. This site is really good for video game packs - http://stepmaniaessentials.co.nr/

The good thing about that is being able to have endless songs for free.

Cobalt Flux is meant to be the best dance pad you can get - http://www.positivegaming.com/cobaltfluxeurope/index.php?id=buynow. Looks nice, but can't afford it yet! They don't have any resellers in Europe unfortunately.
