pokemon is easily surmised like this:

GAMES - good for the first 3-4 completions then after that boring and old

T.V. SERIES - corny over sentimental rubbish with flat one sided characters (except brock he was a little more developed than the others) and a obsession for pikachu which in reality is fairly weak and ineffective in battle.....

MOVIES - some good and interesting (pokemon 1 and pokemon 2000) some matching the profile of the tv series (the one with celibi in it was RUBBISH)

lol that is all!!!! :D

I used to like pokemon when it first came out. The series & the games, they were great for it's time.
Pokemon is kinda in a slump now IMO. It has room for expansion & new suggestions because the idea of Pokemon is great.

My devotion to it was hot n' heavy at first, but then it just got old.

Years went by.......and it came to my mind again. It suddenly sounded interesting. So I bought it.

That was all during the summer, and now theyre boring to me again.

(this is all the games by the way. the show sucks in EVERY sense of the word "suck")

Hey Ratty. Yeah about pokémon. I had just learned all 150 naes in the 90's then all of a sudden another 200 pokémon appeared! What the heck?? Now the show is a load of "quote me" turd. I loved it back then... Sigh... Huh the good ole times eh?

I used to dig Pokémon to the extend that it was kinda embarrassing, but who didn't at the time when it came out? It was a nice TV Show and kids found a sport in collecting all of the cards. It was exciting for a while, but I gradually lost interest when the first movie had been released.. or actually some time before that.

Anyway, there's a guy at my school who's like 17. I think he's the Danish champion in the Pokémon card game. I even think he went to the US to compete in the World Cup. He's also the Danish Jr. champion in judo - now that's a strange mixture of things.
I was in his classroom some weeks ago and he just sat around drawing different kinds of pokémons. I've never talked to him and so I don't know him at all. He's just known as the Pokémon-geek - nobody says it to his face, though, because he can probably kick all of our asses if he wanted to.

I used to love Pokemon, but after the years went by (and like six hundred additional Pokemon) I got bored of it. Though I do ocassionally catch an episode of Pokemon. The show absolutely sucks, but it brings back memories.

I don't know why but I remember that Vaporeon and Espeon were my favorite Pokemon for whatever reason!xP

I remember seeing Pokemon when I went to America in 1996 and no one had a clue at school I was on about. 6 months later, it was in the UK, so it was coolio that I wasnt the only one. I loved the first movie and the TV series for a while. Had a Pokedex, Pokeball, figures, bags, books, games and of course the cards!

But its getting like the Simpsons, should have stopped along time ago.

There was this bull in the hunting range/ranch thing- The one where you had to feed the animals and then try to capture them. Tauros or something.

I never caught it.

But I eventually built a badass team that could whack anybody else's team. My Starting Fish Monster, A Nidoking, Psychomon, and I guess three others. (Those weren't the names of my Pokemon, I just can't remember what the real names of the types were.)

In any event, it was a fun game. And I was able to sell the game, with my work on it, for more than it cost me. (I sold it for $75.00 and bought it from my disenchanted friend for $10.00)

Er, I had Red, and used my friend's blue to get all of 148 or 9 I managed to get.

But it's a pretty old game now. Why bring it up?

Well, I will admit that Red and Blue will always hold a special place in my heart, as they were one of the first video games I ever played, and they turned me into the gamer I am today. However, I really don't think the second and third generations are as bad as people make them out to be.

I also watched the first season of Pokémon, but I stopped watching it mainly because I had too much to do rather than out of disinterest in the show. If I'm bored, I won't mind catching an episode every now and then.

On an interesting note, according to this article ( http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/United_States_to_get_season_one_boxset) I found on Bulbapedia, Viz Media will release the first season of the anime in its entirety on November 21st in the US.

It just got boring. I have tons of cards and I watched every damn movie(yes, I still catch the movies). But lately, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Stopped playing cards last year. Now I have no idea where to sell my cards. :eep:

Ebay or hold onto them for a few years, then stick them on Ebay. Thats what Im going to do with my Pokemon merchandise.
