I know EGM was going to have a Halo 3 blowout in their next issue, but looks like folks over in Portugal have spoiled it. I can't see any of the pics at work, but I can still read Joystiq.

The 'Legendary Edition' sounds tasty, if it's only $10 more like most special version are then it looks to be well worth it.

I have a feeling that Microsoft may be testing the true limits of a special edition with that packaging. That is pretty sweet though. All of Red vs. Blue? All the cutscenes in high-def to watch on TV? It all sounds fairly nice....very very nice.

Sounds like they are actually working on this game unlike halo 2 where they just played halo one for about 2 years then remembered they had a game to make.

"Legendary Edition" - box is a replica of Master Chief's helmet, includes 4-disc set:
Disc one: game
Disc two: documentaries and developer commentary
Disc three: spin-off material (Red vs. Blue, Spark of Life, etc.)
Disc four: all cut scenes from Halo 1-3 in HD
Bonus: sneak peek of Halo movie will be included on one of the discs (maybe (http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/20/game-over-for-halo-movie/))

That sounds amazing, well, until I see the price tag that is. Somehow I'm doubting it will be only $10 more.

Sorry for reviving this semi-old thread but I have a reason. For those who don't know, Gamestop has started taking pre-orders for the set above. The Price: $99.99, and to pre-order you would need to put $25 down on it. Though when I asked one of the guys working what exactly was included, he of course had no idea.
