It's the biggest strategy guide I've ever seen:eek:

It has almost 400 pages. From the looks of it, it covers every single detail about the game. It has maps for every area, covers detailed strategies of beating bosses, a huge list of abilities and magic that can be bought, and a large sidequest section. I was very tempted to buy this guide just to read it, but my budget is very tight:(

I'm definitely getting it.

Does it have lots of detailed pictures and images?

Sounds nice... I may buy it just for the novelty... What's the price tag on this master guide?
Ah, I clicked over to the website. that's odd though. there are two different guides. This sucks, because I"m getting the collecters edition and it costs more. grrr....

It sounds like it will redeem the terrible VP2 guide. :cat:

The guy at GameStop insisted I check out the Limited Edition version when my dad and I went in to pay the rest off. That beast was heavy! It had a nice hard sleeve both books went into. I looked at the price tag: $29.99! He said I would get 20% if I buy it with the game. I felt terrible, I had ordered it online thinking it was only available there for $38.50 after shipping....

It should be here Monday.

I'm starting to feel temped on getting one, just for the use of a second run through. Thats what I do with all my other FF games. To people who have the limited edition copy, have you read or skimmed through it to see if it's actually worth the buy?

I've heard it's very worth it, and heard the art book is nice too. I can't say personally, but I ordered the LE guide online. I don't plan to use it my first time through other than just for finding rare items.

VP2's wasn't as bad as SO3's terrible strategy guide.

I'm not getting the LE OSG. My gigantic Kingdom Hearts II book is sitting here unused because I got sick of the game after two days. D:

They always do that, just trying to make you spend more money. you can stop it if you just say "I just brought enough money for the regular".

nope I won't be getting the guide also because of money issues.

Just got it in the mail. Here are some stats:

It comes in a nice folder case, which both books have nice sleeves for each. The art book has both in-game and hand-drawn pictures. Un-numbered pages, can't tell you how many.

The strategy guide is AWESOME! Has all summons, locations, and quests. All side-quests are in the back. All weapons, items, etc. Very detailed battle description. About 350 pages.

All together, weighs roughly 3 lbs.

Im not surprised the guide is so fat, the game is massive, I have barely touched the side-quests, extra bosses etc.

Still, only losers buy the strategy guides, who likes being told what to do
in a game ? I sure dont.

Some people like to buy it just to have it like a collector's item, like me:)

And others, like myself, use it after we do a first run or when we get stuck. With the LE Book, you buy it now, or never.

Find me my chariot! I need to retrieve my victory prize!

(Still waiting to get down to the store to pick it up.)

What characters do we start with?

It's sitting infront of me, but I'm not sure if I should"open" it.

I was going to simply breeze through it without bending the pages at the binding, but its all wrapped in plastic, which would drastically increase the price on ebay in the future. ;o

What is in the art book? Are they just collections of pictures released to the public already, and can be found anywhere across the Internet, or are there like actual images never seen before?

Yar

images of people with short bios, photos of all weapons. some areas.

Okay.

Sorry for being so blunt. they aren't hand-drawn, more CGI. About 1% images hand-drawn.

Alright, I opened it, figuredit'l probably get ruined (or atleast package ripped) in 2 years for it to be worth anything anyways, so I said forget it.

If you have any questions you can ask.

Bottom Line ... is it worth it? I know some strat guides are garbage, but what about this one? Good layout, easy to read, and full of detail?

Thanks!
